You so full of ****...no one poor is paying more taxes. NO ONE! Most poor people have at least one child and that alone reduces your taxes by up to $2000 with the Child Tax Credit. Then there's the EIC that adds THOUSANDS with a credit. Plus I believe another $6,000 bump on HOH from last year.

stop playing that bull**** of the poor being hurt with taxes. Stupid ass.

Notice they tagged the alt-leftists most likely to be duped by their bias and run to report this as fact on TV or in print -- ana navarro, bakari sellers, a Vox contributor, and an "Essence" contributor.

They're baiting people for the LOLs. This is 4chan shite.

In the past 2/3 of tax returns were NOT itemized, the vast majority of those folks will be realizing a tax cut. The remaining 1/3 most likely saw a decrease unless like me they live in a high tax state.

Myself, I saw a 10% increase in federal income taxes paid, the result of living in a high tax state and my income.

Which only demonstrates that these people are not telling the truth.

There is a difference between having 10,000 withheld from your 50,000 paycheck... owing 8,000 in taxes and getting a 2,000 refund and having 8,000 withheld from your 50,000 paycheck and getting zero refund.

And only an idiot calls that a tax hike. Not saying that this represents every situation, but you're saying it's because of withholding, which doesn't have anything to do with the amount of taxes you pay.

Just whether you pay it every paycheck or in April.

Lol

Did you read those?

So, some high school “civics” teacher got her students to make up a bunch of “I voted for Trump, but won’t next time” boiler plate Twitter posts.

Like, that’s like awesome, right?

Put down the glass, push away from the table, stand up, take a breath.

It’s gonna be a loooong 6 years for you otherwise 04-coffee

There are just as many 'I didn't vote for him and I'm better off' memes that are just as valid.

For the left to argue that Trump has been smart enough to collude with Russia to pull off the greatest scam in the history of the world and go virtually undetected in terms of hard evidence or even a clear trail... and yet the withholding tables are going to bring him down because people who voted for him don't like keeping more of their money and not giving the government an interest free loan is ridiculous. I could be wrong but I believe he literally campaigned on this. I know lots who voted for him support that idea

I wonder how many of these people live in high tax states like California, or have large mortgage balances? Those are the only ways I could see these scenarios realistically happening.

I'm neither of those and have seen a near $2k flip from last year. But, c'est la vie. I'm a progressive and taxes be taxes.

So did your make essentially the same this year as last and did your tax burden actually go up? Or was less merely withheld and thus instead of getting back, you owe?

Then unless you've seen a significant uptick in income (thank you, Trump), or there was a major mistake somewhere, your story is difficult to believe. Perhaps it could happen if you had a large charitable or medical or other itemized deductions last year but not repeated this year. But absent some major change in income or deductions, your story seems very unlikely. The dynamics of tax determination simply don't work that way.

Anybody can say anything on a message board, whether true or not. In order to make me believe that your story is true, you'd have to provide more details about your tax situation, and frankly I would not recommend providing that information in this kind of forum.

Well he could have had gambling debts he wrote off last year....

but this year he failed to pay them so he couldn't write it off? Could be, we seen that action before. But then again his word is not very reliable so thats very possible

Now resident leftists are using fake stories from bot accounts to fuel their own fake stories. Wow.

In case you missed it,

On page 2 of this thread, the OP was debunked as 100% fake. There's a reason why mach has since aborted this thread. If you click the picture in the OP and scroll down, the person that originally posted it ("jester" -- the source of a lot of mach's fake Russia stories) is laughing about how he's retweeting unsuspecting Trump supporters that are arguing with what he knows to be fake stories from bot accounts.

It's sad they they know they are being lied to yet continue to push such nonsense. They are pawns in a bigger scheme yet seem fully content with continuing to play the fool.
