The Green New Deal
Would provide economic security for those unable or unwilling to work.

She really is seeing how far she can push the left

Linky

Edit for clarity. That's not actually in the plan written by the adults at the table but just in her nuts and bolts overview.

I read the NPR summary, it's comedy gold. Looking forward to taking my horse to work and locomotive home to St. Louis a mere ten years from now.

I plan on using an electric car myself. And who knows maybe I'll be in St. Louis myself on my wife's family farm - I'll be the one out in the fields trying to make sure the cows don't fart (disclaimer - he no longer has cows - just crops on the 80 acres now).

She's certainly an interesting character. And I'll grant you a lot of her ideas are way, way out there. But you got to give her credit for coming up with a plan. Even if it's highly improbable, I do want our country working on significant environmental changes.

It's more than highly improbable. It's flat impossible. Before you can get rid of something, you need something to replace it. And that's what's not here yet.

I'm all for developing it as fast as we can. In we probably need to push outside our comfort zone a bit to get there. But stupid stuff that has no hope of working does the cause more harm than good IMO.

when it comes down to low IQ manipulation, I'll simply defer to line 1b) in my sig (it's why it's still at the top)

Working on grand plans that can not be implemented takes away from actually working on solving problems that can be solved. Congress is not a think tank, there are no subject matter experts there. AOC is just wasting her time, which is probably a good thing since I don't want her involved in any real governing.

RE: The Green New Deal
The Heritage Foundation (or similar) needs to put pen to paper ASAP.

I want to know,

1) jobs destroyed (in millions)
2) number of companies bankrupted (in thousands)
3) personal wealth lost (in trillions)
4) government debt increased (in tens of trillions)

This is a prime opportunity to bury the dems for decades, and hollow them out to literally the coasts + Chicago.

She’s just a young clown that is now full of herself because the media is falling all over themselves covering her - so she thinks she’s some savant.

I could declare “that every child deserves a pony and we must provide it to meet our social obligations!!” That doesn’t mean it’s practical, doable, or necessary, but it sure sounds good and will get all the kids on my side.

That’s all she does........lists wants without a clue of how to achieve any of it save spend someone else’s money.
