National Signing Day 2019
How's everyone doing?
KSU picked up 2 big recruits tonight and is currently 90th in nation and 5th in MAC, subject to change of course.

Akron got a couple nice guys who had a decent amount of offers. The firing of Bowden combined with Arth missing the early signing period really hurt the class as a whole.

Toledo sits at the #1 spot in the MAC rankings and has for some time now. There's still potential for some more signees tomorrow on the final signing day.

Miami signed 29, but all during pre-signing. None today.

We finally had the complete announcement of the signing class. For how much of a late start the new coaches had, I feel like this is as good as an average class under Bowden.
I'm glad to finally see some focus on the big Cleveland-area high schools.

Last time I looked UT was leading the MAC West in Men's BB.

I swear I have no idea how we beat UT, somehow we match up well and survive the rest of the schedule.
Miami loaded up again, expecting them vs WMU in MACC game next year.

Toledo still won the MAC West in 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, and in 2017... just lost the tie breaker 4 of those times

RE: National Signing Day 2019
With all the recruiting classes finalized, who are everyone's favorite signees around the league?
For Toledo:
*TE Justin Stephens - He's a 6'7" 240 lb. multi-sport athlete and chose the Rockets over offers from BGSUcks, Ball St., Michigan St., LSU, Iowa, Kentucky, Boston College, Duke, Purdue, Syracuse, Cincinnati, Rutgers, etc.
*RB Micah Kelly - He's from Mississippi who after verbally committing to Toledo in January, immediately received offers from Louisville & Kansas St. Says a lot about our staff to fight off those schools, plus NC State who was strongly in the mix. Says a lot about Kelly for staying loyal to his commitment.

The below are Akron's best recruits
* RB Peter Hayes-Patrick - Listed at 5'10" 180lb. Had previous offers from Toledo, FIU, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Southern Miss, UCF, and Vanderbilt
* S Corey Thomas - Listed at 6'4" 190lb. Had previous offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Indiana, Toledo, and Robert Morris

Gotta be Joachim Bangda for KSU. Coach Lewis said they beat out Bama for him.
By the way, the Flashes finished with their highest recruiting class ever. 4th in MAC (5th last year), had 16 3 star recruits this year which is the same under the 5 years of Paul Haynes. KSU football is trending up!

Considering how often UT beat us in earlier years, I guess it's just regression to the mean.

I remember when we NIU fans had to fall back on that "co-champion" title for some semblance of achievement back in 2002 and 2004...

If you didn't win the tie-breaker you didn't win the division.

Hey, don’t give false hope to us BG fans with your fancy “regression to the mean” talk about losing to Toledo. We can’t beat them in ANYTHING. Would take quite the regression....
