In fairness, every team save one is winless against UCF the past two years. Although the Tigers have come close, we need to do better in bowls. Overall, Norvell has the program in a good place and the future looks promising.

So what I've read the buyout is just $500,000?

Memphis keeps getting hit hard with other schools poaching staff around bowl season. That probably hasn't helped much either.

That and the increasing trend of players opting to sit out. Thinking a unanimous AA is prolly worth at least 3 points. Not that he didn't make the right decision, he did. Just getting kind of tired of traveling to bowl games only to lose. TBH though, it doesn't bother me much, but it puts a damper on hubby's mood and the rest of the trip.

I'm not really sure what the extension does for anyone. The salary and the $500k buyout (that's really low) stay the same for one more year. If he's good I think he'll be poached before 5 years and if he's bad he'll be let go.

yep, a buyout isn't going to scare the P5 away and we know it...so we acknowledge that fact and simply try to create an environment that makes him WANT to stay.

Two of the bowl losses were by one point to Iowa State without D. Henderson, and Anthony Miller playing with a fracture in his foot. This years loss to Wake Forrest without D. Henderson again, and a missed chip shot field goal to tie the game.

Not exactly embarrassing losses.

Mostly because nobody wants him. If they did, he'd be gone.

I'm down with 8-10 Ws per year...sure beats 1-11 under Larry Porter.

I’ll take the best recruiting class in Tiger history since 24/7 tracking began and the second best in the AAC despite the small class size.
