MyBB 2018 NCAA Credits: Did you Know...
...that roughly 20% of the credits earned by Syracuse, Louisville, Notre Dame and Pitt over the last 6 years still go to the American Athletic Conference?

If the ACC had gotten those, this is what the credits distribution would have looked like for 2018:

I still think there is something fishy about that. If you earned the credits, they should be yours. If you are in a conference and want to distribute them through some plan, that's fine. Imagine if Syracuse had played in a bowl game and a year later their payment goes to the AAC because Syracuse is now in the ACC.

That stinks. When does this arrangement end, 2019?

The first year when ALL credits earned by Syracuse, Pitt and Notre Dame go to the ACC is actually 2020. The first year for Louisville is 2021.

Yeah, and the ACC won't even get the Cards Elite 8 units for 2014-15 since those wins were subsequently vacated. Wonder how that works with the AAC? Did the Cardinals as part of their sanctions have to pay back the units vacated from their 2012 and 2013 Final Four runs in the Big East and their Sweet 16 run in the AAC for which the AAC may have already received money?

Also, please note in the modified chart that even with all those units included the ACC's average per team is basically the same as the Big 12's average per team. Just pointing this out for reference.

Great chart work by the way.

Cheers,
Neil

Oh boo hoo.

You're acting like the CEO yelling at the valet that stole the change out of his ash tray.

Hey, I'm not complaining about the money... it was simply part of the exit fee, as I see it.

My point is more that Big Ten basketball appears to be equal to ACC basketball - until you realize that the B1G is getting all of their credits and the ACC is only getting 80%. So it was not an anti-AAC post... it was an anti-B1G post!

Yeah, the Big Ten and Big XII are too good for the ACC to lap them... but they can come pretty close to doubling up both the SEC and Pac-12!
