Georgia Southern victory chairs to be auctioned for charity
Posting for the Eagle fans who come here but not GSUfans

By now, most have seen Coach Lunsford's post game celebration of slamming a chair down and dropping the "Eagle's Elbow" on it:

But some might not know that those chairs were then hung on the locker room wall as trophies, one for each win:

Now those trophies are to be auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Athletes in Action fund. Bidding will end at Noon on February 21st. The beginning price for each chair was $25. The App State and Camellia Bowl chairs have surpassed $1,000 since going live yesterday.

Lol! Look at the chairs one at a time and notice that the App and Georgia State ones obviously went through absolute hell.

That’s pretty funny.

The funny thing about the Ga State chair, is that Lunsford didn't even drop the elbow on it. That was just the players.

But yes, they did a number on both of those lol

What would really cool is to have the team and coaches sign them.

The funds will help go to the mission trips that the student athletes go to through Athletes in Action. I think the trip is made every spring break.

Here is the Facebook page with some of the trips they've been on in the past few years.. really a great cause.

We thought Neal might want something to make him feel more at home in West By God.

Didn’t they leave the actual EMU chair in Alabama? Someone paid out for a fake chair

I love you fellers.

I might bid on the chair from the first time Georgia State beat a ranked team thanks two Appalachian State looseing a QB and a Fehr and subsequently lost to a team featuring WWE/WWF shenanigans. Do I have to pay with confederate dollars, or will venmo be fine? Eye half so mini questions.

Going to a charity that Lunsford and several of the coaches and players participate with. Nothing wrong with helping people a little. This was never going to be a huge fundraiser anyway, but it can do some good.
