LOL...
The Flagship program of AAC basketball (more conference championships than all you losers) will be doing our best to be the best 4-1 Texas team in the AAC.
I figure it comes down to Coach Jank vs. Coach Pesik.
And...we do allow tie slinging at Moody.
But only if Sampson immediately pops his collar?

Another moral victory is within their grasp.

A great day for Temple would be a 15 point halftime lead that becomes 25 by the 15:00 mark.
A realistic day for Temple would be a 15 point halftime lead that becomes a tie at the 15:00 mark with the Owls and Pirates trading baskets until 1:00 left in OT when Dooley inadvertently steps on the court gets a T and Temple wins by 2.
This is going to be a tough game for the Owls. ECU is one of the better teams in the country at defending the 3 pointer and by the stat sheet it appears Temple relies heavily on their three guards chucking threes. Additionally you're not a good rebounding team and Gardner is the league leader in rebounds while putting his offensive output against your man in the middle that is basically non existent.
Bad match-up for Temple tonight on paper at least.
Some of what you said is true, but I do feel that ECU fans are overestimating Gardner's game a bit. Is he good? Yes. Is he defendable with good help defense? Absolutely! He's 1 for 3 from 3 point range, limiting his game to stopping his drives, boxing him out, and keeping him out of the paint.
The lessor defensive team SMU held him to 5 FGs and 5 turnovers for 16 points and 7 rebounds. He did do very well against UCF, but having Fall on defense is both a blessing and a curse for UCF. Fall clogs under the basket but can't guard away from the basket. Gardener's already fouled out of 2 games this year, so he's vulnerable for that as well.
As for the rest of their offense, ECU is 280th in the nation in scoring, and score even less in conference play.

gardner will go off but the rest of the team will average 3pts each and ecu will lose by 12

Minges is reportedly like 95% sold out. A full, rocking Minges Coliseum is something neither team has experienced. I hope ECU responds well to it.

Can’t help Defense putbacks. He will split double teams with post moves. He’s truly something.

This is a game where Lebo would get blown out coming off the back of 2-3 good performances. Hopefully Pirates stay on track.

ECU had played some decent football prior to the Temple game this past season. There were a lot of Pirate predictions about how y’all were going to beat us. This feels the same.

What world are you living in? ECU lost to NC A&T literally the first game of the season. Beating ODU by a walk-off field goal is not playing decent.

Looks like 500 or so tickets left for the ECU game. If you have any kind of walk up late deciders it's going to be a sell out.
Congrats ECU. The program is well ahead of schedule and this sort of excitement will build pull for recruiting too.
Hopefully you keep it up.

Exactly! Y’all had super high unrealistic expectations then. Ironically you say that I’m living in a different world.

I can’t speak for anyone else but I had no expectation of ECU beating Temple in football or any other team with a pulse all season.
