Predict the mid-week games
14 teams total.

I think GS, App, Troy, Ark St. and ULL will get two each.

Locks:

GS @ App
App @ Troy
ULL @ Ark St.
Someone @ ULM
Someone @ Texas St.

Considering USA had 2 midweek games in odd number years since 2015, I’ll guess 2 for USA.

2019 - ?
2018 - 1
2017 - 2
2016 - 1
2015 - 2

I think you're spot on with the locks. I would guess we'll get two since we normally do and that it will most likely be Appy at KBS and UL or ULM at Paulson.

I wouldn't mind two away games being midweek games, but I doubt it.

Hopefully we fall out if the rotation this year unless it’s once for a road game.

I wish that App and Southern would be moved to a Saturday. This game could easily compete for viewers on a Saturday night on ESPNU compared to the regular scheduling.

RE: Predict the mid-week games
Is there an actual rotation to the mid-week games such that we’re guaranteed to host one in 2019? We haven’t played in one since 2015, haven’t hosted one since 2013.

Look at that.....you and I finally agree on something. 04-cheers

I miss the Saturday games we've had in the past. They are better attended and a lot more fun. I haven't missed any of our week night games either, but I am lucky that I can schedule time off around it. Many others are not.

I don't think so. I believe they are all determined solely by ESPN and who they think will draw more eyeballs on TV sets.

How is ULM a lock to host?

Is that because it's on "rivalry week" each year?

RE: Predict the mid-week games
I like the Thursday night games. Would rather play Friday night. To me, that night is possibly even better than Saturday. No clue why we as a conference don’t explore that. Sun Belt games, hell any college games on Thursday, have zero shot at competing with the NFL.

High school football would be a problem here on Friday.

If Louisiana is on twice, I'm guessing

App at home--ESPN will like the rematch of the title game.
A-State on the road. Because it's A-State

I think a lot comes down to whether or not ESPN wants to continue to put Troy/USA on a Tuesday night. If they don't, I could see them moving App/Troy to a Tuesday for one of the games.

I would wager a handful of cash that you are correct.

I'm pretty sure we can handle Little Rock tomorrow. Not sure what the line is though.

RE: Predict the mid-week games
I'm sure GS @ App will be on a Thursday, but if GS can dodge a weekday home game, it will be the first time we've played all Saturday home games since we joined the conference.
