We have played a few players i wouldn't mind having at MEMPHIS
Was thinking about all the truly talented players we've faced this year. If you could get a transfer to MEMPHIS out of any player we've faced, who would you choose?

Jayden Gardner ECU - Freshman 6'6" Forward
David Jenkins SDSU - Sophomore 6'2" Guard
Naz Reid LSU - Freshman 6'10" Forward
Tremont Waters LSU - Sophomore 5'10" Guard
Jarrett Culver Texas Tech - Sophomore 6'6" Guard
Malik Ondingo Texas Tech - Sophomore 6'10" Forward
Cameron McGriff Ok State - Freshman 6'7" Forward
Miye Oni Yale - Junior 6'6" Guard
grant Williams Tenn - Junior 6'7" Forward

Hard to go against Naz Reiz, but maybe he goes pro and maybe you feel we have front court under control. We've faced many good guards. Maybe we bring in size.

Clearly we don't get to choose one to really bring to MEMPHIS. Just something fun to think about.

I liked Zhang. Betcha he’s been underutilized there or they would have won more games. Announcer said he’s one of only 5 Chinese nationals playing college BB here.

Zhang. How'd I leave him off? He was part of my initial thought that spurred the question. He had skills. Created shot off dribble nicely and functioned well within offense.

A little surprised when they showed that stat. ONLY 5 players from China in Div-1 basketball?!

Most I remember from Bone is that he initiated the meeting at our bench during TO.....on the court: meh

Pons......solid 4star recruit. Decent size, well built.

Those are two I overlooked. I'd give Pons consideration. I have a feeling all of these players will be equivalent or subpar to the squad we put on the floor next year. Exciting to think about!

Definitely underrated coming out of HS. I was surprised with how physical/tough he was as a Freshman.

I liked the guard that played for the team that had the 6"9 kid that was not heavily recruited but ended up being their all time leading scorer, we shut him down but the little guard matched Tyler 3 for 3 and one upped him, also the Player from Tulane from China I liked a lot.

Are you referring to South Dakota State with Daum? The little Guard (6'2") David Jenkins was phenomenal. And to correct my original post, I think he's a Sophomore.

RE: We have played a few players i wouldn't mind having at MEMPHIS
Love Emmitt Williams from LSU!! 6'6" athlete who could probably play any position for us this year. And would fit in with the talent coming next year. He's one of few guys who could fit in with the names being thrown around for next year (Wiseman, Watford, Hurt, Edwards....). Can't believe I left him off the board during OP. He can flat ball.

The more you look at the LSU roster and realize all the talent they are playing with, the more impressive our game vs LSU was. We played very well vs them using a gameplan most coaches would have been timid to employ. We ran with them. One of the most athletic teams in the courty who likes to run and we ran with them. We didn't try to make them play outside their comfort zone with a slow half court smoldering tempo. We took it to them.

LSU is good. really good. And as that team gets older and gels a little better they will be very very good. I expect a post season run for them. Love the test we got from LSU. LSU and UT, Yale, SDSU, Ok St, Texas Tech......we've played a great schedule. Lot of talent on the opposing bench.

He looked good but looking at his statline I wonder if we made him look good like we have done for so many.

The kid can play. He had great moves and size. He worked within the offense and also created for himself and others.

We do play a faster pace and in turn have more possessions in a game than the average team. So opponents have more attempts to improve their statlines.
