CAA Basketball 2018-19
We'd been discussing some on the W&M board about trying to get some more discussion on this general board, so I figured I would try to get the ball rolling.
Some big games this weekend, W&M gets both Hofstra and Northeastern at home, both those games might provide a better picture of how the conference will shake out. Hofstra is undefeated in CAA play, while Northeastern, the preseason favorite, has struggled.
Delaware, off to a surprising 3-1 start, has 2 southern road games, wouldn't be shocked for them to drop both.

This weekend will definitely help clear the field or muddy the waters more. I think in most people's eyes it is still a 3 team race (CofC, NU, HU) then a reasonably large gap to team #4

Yeah, if W&M can get the home sweep they might be able to stay in the hunt, especially with how vulnerable NU has been so far, but I'm not holding my breath

Northeastern won 81-70 in overtime and Hofstra won 93-90 in triple overtime.
Edit: This AP article title is missing a letter, a space, and has a team wrong:
"Harper scores fina10 as Drexel stuns Charlotte, 79-78"
I'm going to tweet my criticism of the AP.

We're 3-2, not 2-3.
We should certainly be a tier above 2-4 Drexel, especially since we beat them pretty handily, and looked good doing so. Otherwise the writeup was fair regarding each team, I'd say.

That was a bad typo on my part, and has been fixed. Given strength of schedule, I'm still comfortable bucketing those teams similarly. UNCW took care of a DU team coming off a big win on the Saturday of a road back to back with Tim Perry out. I don't know that I give them quite as much credit for handily beating them as you may, but I certainly do appreciate the feedback.

I agree with metsox, and not because we are both biased, that right now its fair to have UNCW listed first but still have them lumped together due to strength of conference schedule to this point. However I would add, if Drexel does not go 2-0 this weekend, we would then confidently fall below UNCW on the pecking order

CAA games now take 10 weeks rather than 9, so 3 weeks is 30 percent, not one-third.
