Ball game. Good to see this team has turned a corner. Will be lucky to finish with a winning record in conference.

Pathetic but not shocking. Officiating was certainly a clown show but we should never have let it come down to those clowns in stripes anyway. Unfortunately it’s more of the same...

we lost because we didnt try to go inside at the game of the game and we try to be an heros and shoot the 3

Amazingly bad. Even for CUSA

1. We are down one. We shoot and miss, but force a jump ball. The ref that called the jump ball was standing right there next to the play and had the best vantage point. But allowed himself to be overruled by a ref not even in the TV frame who decided it was a foul, which it wasn’t.

2. USM is up three with 13 secs. We throw the ball in. Refs stop the play for seemingly no reason, and has us being the ball back and throw it in again. They didn’t reset the clock, and we lose valuable time.

Duke Edsel should not be allowed to referee Upward Basketball games. He is awful.

Terrible calls

We played pretty well at times but gave up a couple of critical offensive rebounds late and again shot (and missed) too many 3's.

Inside the arc we were 22-44, outside 6-23. We now have 3 players shooting over 30% from 3pts and one of those, Lovan, is only 2-6. Zach Bryant is down to 25% for the season. Three point shooting is such a huge part of the modern game. When you don't create a lot of easy baskets from your defense, it's difficult to compete with such a poor perimeter shooting team.

Officiating sucked. The over-ruled jump ball was total BS.

Couldn’t watch the game, but here’s some numbers that stood out:

We made 5 more field goals than USM,
But 5 fewer three pointers,
And 10 fewer free-throws.

We lost by 5.

I was there. Both teams played hard. We seemed to play our best when we fed the ball inside. Sullivan could have scored 40 if we would have fed him more often, and I’m hoping we do more of this going forward. The foul at the end was complete bs.

UAB had only 5 turnovers for the game. USM had only 6 turnovers for the game. Very rare statistics for both teams to have so few in a game.

Almost makes you wonder if the good people at Southern Mss know how to keep statistics
