Me too, but I also do not mind it. If anyone remembers the old streams from ODU, I could do without that extreme. The cut ins of highlights and the ODU ads everywhere. I get it, it was the school's stream but man were those tough to watch. There has to be a limit on how much you allow, but at "tv timeouts" I am ok with every other ad being a school ad, like now, or an actual ad for revenue.

RE: Is there ANY TV for CAA Basketball this year?
Only a couple of thousand people watch the stream that CofC has at a time. We used to have our TV games on OTA MyTV Charleston, but it didn’t do very much. We had 10 or so games on there plus ASN (Sinclair O&O) games.
MyTV is the #5 station in a 5-station market, and that was the audience they were getting in prime time. CofC was paying for the time.
The SoCon has 17 games broadcast by Nexstar stations (the old Media General), including 6 SoCon tourney games, but they are only on OTA in Charleston, Upstate SC, and a couple of other markets.
The CAA should look at an OTA package after Raycom finishes up their ACC OTA games after this year. The problem is, what markets would carry these games? Charleston, Wilmington, Harrisonburg, Greensboro, Hampton Roads, Baltimore, Philly, NY, Boston are in our league.
Only the first 3 would really have actual interest...

I can only speak for Philadelphia, but since Drexel is such a small fish in a very crowded major sports and major TV market, there is no way that Drexel basketball would be carried on a major over the air market. Their only chance would be on an over the air digital subchannel, that very few people watch in the first place. Drexel's women's game on the Delaware TV package will be carried live by COZI-TV (10-2) on Sunday.
It would still make the most sense for the CAA to get back on the NBC Sports Regional networks. In Philadelphia, unless the Flyers or Sixers are playing, it's mostly dead air programming on NBCSP and NBCSP+. There's a lot of air time openings for CAA games.

YES has ACC games. If the ACC doesn't want YES or wants fewer games on YES after the ACC Network starts, maybe YES would broadcast a little CAA. The last time Hofstra was on YES was hosting VCU on January 3, 2008, and I have no idea if that game was on other regional sports networks.

Interesting. If I go onto the Sports Live website and click on "ways to watch", Roku is an option. If that's true, and the Sports Live games are removed from CAA.TV, then they're really limiting people's ability to watch the games.

College Sports Live = Poop.
Transitive property tells me that means CAA Commissioner = Poop.

RE: Is there ANY TV for CAA Basketball this year?
This is the last year of their deal with CSL. Anything would be better than that terrible service. Most of the games they carry are low-level events (women’s college hockey, pay audio feeds of their properties).
And they skipped over 19 days of the season. They had 3 games in the first 4 conference game days, now have no games until the 24th. ESPN+ would be a seismic upgrade (even if we would have to pay). Heck, even Fox Sports Go would. Actually put games on a service which people get.

RE: Is there ANY TV for CAA Basketball this year?
Having every game on CAA.TV would be better than having every game on ESPN+. I don't know if Fox Sports Go has games from lesser conferences. The CAA doing worse than usual this season could make regional sports networks not want the CAA in upcoming seasons.

RE: Is there ANY TV for CAA Basketball this year?
If they arent going to do ESPN+ and try and get some games on ESPNU and the championship back on ESPN then just throw everything on CAA.TV and let the schools make their own TV deals. This College Sports Live thing is dumb

RE: Is there ANY TV for CAA Basketball this year?
https://drexeldragons.com/news/2019/2/7/...vents.aspx
It was just announced today that Drexel will be televising 10 upcoming home sporting events on NBC Sports Philadelphia or NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus.
This does not include the upcoming Drexel/Delaware men's and women's games which will be on NBC Sports Philly as part of Delaware's TV package.
The 10 games include 3 MBB games, 2 WBB games, 2 wrestling, 1 WLAX, and 2 MLAX.
So starting Saturday, every Drexel MBB game and 3 of the last 4 WBB games will be televised.
This is a really big deal for Drexel, who was clearly lacking local TV exposure with the CAA losing their TV deal.
Saturday's game vs. CofC and the women's game on 2/17 vs. Northeastern will also be on NBC Sports Washington.

I don't think they will. However, from what I heard, these televised games will just be Drexel's webcast on TV. I don't believe that the Drexel webcast will be blacked out. So you'll still be able to watch the game on CAA.TV, even if it's not televised in the NY market.

MSG picked up the NESN @Northeastern game. Perhaps they pick this one up too if SNY turns it down

The reason I said SNY is it has common ownership with the NBC Sports channels. MSG showed a game from NESN, which is not owned by NBC.

Some of these Drexel games will be carried by NBCS-Washington, so they could essentially be picked up by SNY as well if they choose to. But these games are nothing more than Drexel buying cable TV airtime to promote their product. So I don't know if Drexel would have to pay more money to broadcast on SNY or would SNY pay Drexel for the what is essentially a syndication purchase.
