This just in. App State football program is also better than Penn State, Michigan, South Carolina, WVU, Florida, Texas, LSU, and others. I mean, App State won more games and more championships in the last 5 years compared to those schools.
The only thing that makes sense is to measure since the realignment. I'm not picking numbers out of the air like you all are. I count things from 2014 on, like most unbiased people would do. 2013 was a lame duck year for a lot of teams/conferences.
Congrats on being a pretty good conference the last two years.

Congrats on being BETTER THAN CUSA the last two years.
I thought I'd fix your post for you. You're welcome.

Western Michigan and Memphis were terrible examples. I wouldn't have even joined the conversation if you hadn't used those programs as examples. I'm convinced you have been following college football for 5 years max. Hey, did you know Marshall used to be good?

Ah, the old I have no argument so I come up with something outrageous to prove a point, trick. Good job.
The Apps and Troys of the SB have achieved a high level of consistency that CUSA just hasn't achieved in a while. It's ok to admit it.
If GS can reach their potential consistently, Arky State figure out their OOC whoes, and UL continue their revival. You're looking at the Belt being compared more to MW then CUSA. (I do think some of the bottom teams are holding us back too)

Hear-hear! Mighty Memphis had their hands full with one of the SBC's worst teams (USA) this year and probably should have lost to the Jags. To dust off an old cliché, most people who watched that game would probably agree that Memphis didn't win nearly as much as USA lost.

Memphis beat USA 52-35 in a game USA was kept close throughout, one week later App beat USA 52-7 in a game USA was throughly beaten by half (42-7) and App pulled most starters early in the 3rd....

Just to underscore the ridiculousness of comparing Memphis and App: This is what we did to Memphis in 2011
I will admit, 2011 was also a down year for App State football. The Mountaineers went only 8-4 that season...Apparently they got tired after winning Conference titles in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, so they took a year off before winning another in 2012.
Memphis did win a bowl game once, I'll give them that. They've won 5 bowl games in program history compared to App's measly 4 as an FBS Member. App really has work to do to catch up there.

Ahhh an F_U fan is trying to talk smack. That is so adorable.

To be honest, this thread wasn't interesting until the blunderer came over to discuss how the 2014 Marshall team(wonder how many non and partial qualifiers were on this team?) meant that 2018 Sunbelt wasn't improved, and trending upwards.
Also new topic of note: Don't you find it curious that once the Sunbelt relieved itself of the chaff, and brought in that new hotness, the result has been a Sunbelt renaissance coupled with a large devaluation of CUSA as a whole?

It’s funny because the best thing that ever happened to the Sun Belt was getting rid of your school and the worst thing that happened to CUSA was adding y’all.

Best marketing tool ever. Sometimes I hum it to myself.
That thing is single handedly responsible for all of Apps growth since mid-2000s

The Sun Belt may be it's own worst enemy when it comes to chaff making returns. If the trend continues major change comes quick in the next two years. Florida is a huge catalyst for change. See the giant void in the center of the CUSA footprint. Think about the dynamics and landscape as it is currently.
My earlier point that Marshall should be on offense getting ahead of this is a legit point if football is where your hitching the wagons. No confusion about that over here. If old rivals get back together it's on. Two years.

That’s cute. I don’t care how our brand travels to Sunbelters, but the FAU brand is on the way up! It feels good to have so many haters. Thanks for joining the club.
In spite of all your trash talk we will still be ahead of you when alignment time comes around.

The “Marshall did it first” excuse is lazy at best. Sunbelters are overly active with the trash talk on the CUSA boards.

Yet, here you are on SunBelt board.......
On a topic about CUSA. Who would’ve thought the CUSA section of the Sunbelt board would have the most activity! It sounds funny but I rarely butt in with smack talk unless invited. You should ask your belt buddies to do the same.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Besides one flash-in-the-pan season, you've been mostly deadweight in both conferences you've existed in so far. You've done absolutely nothing in either football or basketball to show FAU belongs in a better conference.
I suppose I should thank FAU for not only getting out of our way in the Sun Belt but also dragging CUSA down and helping make them the worst FBS conference so we look all the better.

Lazy is the perfect word to describe my general attitude towards posting.
I'm a low hanging fruit kinda guy. Good thing the blunderers oblige so often.
