Kalu said on postgame he and Bassey were from the same place in Nigeria.
After Kalu didn’t help him up, he tried the ref finally Hollingsworth help. Bassey has lot of growing up to do before the NBA.

We noticed as well and laughed just as hard. Although my wife thought BJ should have allowed Kalu to help him up. I said they can exchange pleasantries after the game - not when the battle is on.

I thought Kalu extended the hand, and looked him dead in the eye and said “psych”

That was classic either way watching him ask everyone for a hand and finally settling on the ref.

Wasn't last night's start similar to the Marshall tourney game couple years ago? Went way behind and didn't score for a long time, then actually took lead before end of first half. Of course big difference was we won last night. :)

I didn't see the game, but checked in on ESPN play by play at about 730. Couldn't believe how it unfolded. Scroll, scroll, and ODU "0" just stayed there. Ouch. As I looked further, ODU began making it a game. Just figured it would be hard to get over the hump. Glad they did though.

That was awesome. Let's get two wins on the road this week. Go Monarchs!

I think we spotted Stanford a 24-2 lead in the NIT F4 before making it a game. Never were able to overcome though.

Forgot about that bad start. Another one we could have won. Getting over the hump when that far behind typically proves too hard.

We didn't get quite as far behind in this one, but didn't score until past 8 minutes in the game. This one felt more winnable than the game last night. It did follow a similar script though. Glad it went our way this time.

It was not, however, easy money. I had to sweat quite a bit after thinking it was a lock about 8 minutes in.

With that said, it took the greatest comeback in odu history not to start 0-2 in conference after playing both games at home.

This was an absolute must win at home, and we did, but everyone thinking this is the start of an ncaa tourney run is most likely in for a rude awakening.

We almost started 0-2 at home against our conference rivals (who aren’t actually all that great).

But please, continue to ignore reality and pretend all is well, you deluded bunch of Neidermayer’s. Lol

Honest question - when you recently referred to all of the teams we recently beat - VCU , Syracuse and WKU as not “great” teams - what teams comparably are you referring to ? Most mid majors aren’t scheduling top 25 teams on a nightly basis especially since the CUSA is not P5 conference. These are all fairly good teams potentially top between top 50-75 teams .
