I think any Pitt or Syracuse fan that was honest would be thrilled to add WVU to the ACC. I for one miss Pitt playing that team and their crazy, rabid fan base.

NO. Did you watch the game? WVU not only played barbarian football but played dirty. They targeted Dungey's very low body which is prohibited in NFL as the commentators pointed out, just trying to hurt SU QB and took him out of the game . Such a school should not be allowed to be admitted to ACC.

I did watch it. And I saw what you saw, and I heard what the commentators said. But there was a time in the past when West Virginia wasn’t known as a dirty team. But either way, the time has come and gone and I don’t see that it will ever be revisited in my lifetime.

The league needs quality football teams while SU and Pitt fans need a program to hate especially since they are so apathetic to each other and BC as well.

I've said for a long time now, I wished that the ACC had taken SU, Pitt, WVU, and Louisville from the start. Waiting on ND (and now Texas) is fool's gold.

But as others have pointed out, nothing is happening for a while now so maybe something else will develop over time?

Cheers,
Neil

RE: ACC Bowl Games Thread
A dirty team can be fixed by firing a coach. A dirty fan base can be fixed only through more selective breeding.

If you recall the movie Deliverance, you have an idea about WVa's most ill-behaved fans. Their best fans are of course normal human beings, but their normality does not outweigh the behavior of their rowdies. Take the worst Philadelphia Eagles fans and the worst U of Maryland fans, combine that into one person, then subtract 10 more IQ points and you have the bottom of the barrel that you can run into in Morgantown. That's great if you are having to fight Nazis, Space Aliens, or some other crowd of murderous invaders, but it's not something you want to take your kids to experience unless of course you are prepping them for the apocalypse. 03-wink

Up until last night I was all for WV getting into the ACC. That was even after their fans were approving of the way that WV left the BE, and considering their fans overall behavior. But after I saw how dirty that team played last night, and trying to hurt SU players, not only Dungey, I am done with anything associated with WV. I wont even drive thru the State anymore.

Belk Bowl update:
S.Carolina 0
Virginia 14

I guess it's best for VT if the Gamecocks lose.

21-0 Cavs look motivated.

Hokie's nightmare...the wine and cheese fan base actually comes alive in '19 and takes back some territory in VA.

For some reason, I'm not all that worried...

Exclamation RE: ACC Bowl Games Thread
After watching last night and today, apparently these colors DO run...

BLUE ORANGE

...and pass, and do whatever else they want. Impressive win by Syracuse last night, and now UVA is taking S. Carolina to the woodshed in the Belk Bowl.

My only regret is that the Hokies didn't get into the Belk Bowl... I do love me some CHICKEN with college football games!

UVa was soundly beaten in only one game this year - against NC State. Pitt/GT/VT and Indiana were all toss ups until late in the 4th or OT.

I thought they were the best team in the Coastal this year.

2018 was a HORRIBLE year for the ACC - especially the Coastal division - but there are signs that 2019 might be better. The Belk Bowl is one of them.

Unless Clemson completely blows it in the second half, the ACC will be 5-2 in bowl games after today. I think that’s pretty good. BTW, is anyone really surprised that Clemson is exposing Notre Dame?
