C-USA alternate reality
Those idiots are still saying on their board, “name one SBC that wouldn’t jump at the chance to join C-USA if offered.” I said name one who would. Seriously, while that probably use to be true, I think the only one that might would is Texas St. due to the other Texas schools. Am I right or is there anyone else that would leave if offered. I would not want ULM to leave, anyone else?

Troy would not go if invited. 10 years ago yes maybe. I’ve had personal conversations with several people at Troy and it just would not happen if the offer ever did come our way.

RE: C-USA alternate reality
And have to play MTSU every year, as dirty as they played us?

I'll pass.

SBC is on the upswing. Easily 3rd best G5 right now aside from MW and AAC (and we'd have arguments against MW imo)

I’d go out on a limb and say that no one in the East would leave just for an invite. Maybe a full blown reshuffle of the conferences but not just for an invite.

Yes, I could see a reshuffle, but not in current form.

RE: C-USA alternate reality
Not really, even though I would like to be in a conference with S Miss and Marshall but this has nothing to do with CUSA. Also, I never liked playing FAU/FIU and don’t care much about playing MTSU/WKU. Even playing UAB is not a priority right now. Basically, I don’t really care if we are CUSA or SBC, same thing to me.

RE: C-USA alternate reality
Revenue used to be different, it’s now worse per team in CUSA and travel costs would increase.

Unless we’re talking about swapping teams it’s a non-starter for all parties.

I said on their board the only ones I’d potentially be interested in are USM, Marshall, AND MAYBE UAB, but only if it didn’t dilute our money too much.

They really still believe that though or at least it makes them feel better about themselves.

C-USA alternate reality
The only thing better about CUSA would be getting to beat UNC Charlotte 75 to -2 every season.

Seeing LaTech fans ***** and moan if we were somehow invited would be pretty funny, but I think we’re good where we’re at

RE: C-USA alternate reality
Invite to the AAC, yes.

Invite to CUSA, no thanks.

Yes, 10 years ago, we all would have taken that. To be in th same conference as Memphis, Cincinnati, Louisville, TCU, CUSA would be the top G5 and claiming P6 status and their teams not defected. But they did, and this last round of moves was not good ones by CUSA. The SBC definitely won in the last round.

I’m happy where we are, I could also see TxSt jumping for obvious reasons, but I think everyone else is mostly happy and life is not better over there.

They honestly know the truth, that none of us would leave, but instead devert to dogging ULM and saying I’m off topic. Kinda funny actually.

The state of the Sun Belt (maybe aside from the west this year) looks solid, and there would be no reason for anyone to leave. Give ULL another year with this new coach and their baller recruiting class, and the west will be up to snuff (sans another stAte off year)

My favorite was during the Hawaii bowl last night, I read the game thread over there and Tech fans are saying "Where are all the App State fans now huh?" Problem is, not a single App fan had posted in the game thread, and the best guess is only a couple even knew Tech was playing.

It was odd.

Wait I'm confused...why were we even mentioned there? Barely heard from LA Tech all year

It’s because App and LaTech have been going at it in a bunch of other threads over the past week or so

RE: C-USA alternate reality
You should not try to gather general consensus from message boards. Many...including guys from our fan bases, post for attention. If you go to a Notre dame message board in sure many are saying it would be a failure if they lost to clemson. UCF message boards claim Alabama is afraid to schedule them. Now I'm not one for conference allegiance myself. I don't have sun belt pride...as our rivals I hate other sun belt teams more than non sun belt teams...but understand that no one thinks the sun belt is inferior to the Mac or cusa. It's really not a contentious issue. Do you guys ever read articles or expert opinions outside of message boards? Everyone knows the sun belt is the 8th best league in football and it's top teams can compete with most anyone. Posting threads about other people on message boards is just as silly as their posts.

Once again. nobody would ask you so why are you talking like you would or wouldn’t. Your own conference is waiting for your demise.
