Camellia Bowl
EMU holding its own trailing 7-0 in the 2nd quarter. When Georgia Southern is forced to pass, they’re very average. But if they’re successful getting outside on their option they can certainly move the chains.

EMUs can't cover the perimeter apparently. Eagles are killing the Eagles on the outside.

Eagles score. What's with the video? Looks like animation some of the time.

RE: Camellia Bowl
EMU made some absolutely boneheaded calls towards the end. Most notably, when GS was down by one with less than a minute to play, on fourth and more than ten, they faked a rush, then dropped everyone but three rushers up front, then dropped everyone else back about 10-15 yards. The GS QB just took the open space for an easy first down. Seconds later they won it with a FG.

Prevent Defense NEVER works. Dance with the girl you brought.

When the prevent defense does work you never hear of it. When it fails there’s a resounding condemnation of the coaching staff. Just human nature.

Too many subtleties with a prevent defense that the teams are NOT boned-up on. Let them run the same defense they run 95% of the time, they're much more likely to have success with that than one they run 5% of the time. Just common sense.

Very frustrating. Thought EMU was going to win after the late TD and the D getting GS to 4th and more than 10.

Oh well, I guess that they were able to push a now 9-3 GS to a last-second FG may be an over-achievement.

It wasn't a prevent defense really. Just a terrible play call on 4th and 10 against a team that doesn't pass much anyway. They literally gave them 12 yards without even defending that area, thus ensuring that Georgia southern would have a very makeable field goal to win the game. I couldn't believe it.
