BTW, just after a big QB pressure, Christian Covington had the key block this past Sunday that assured the 101 yard pick six for the Texans. Both the DB and the coach called him out for it.....

How much is Covington playing these days. Every time I try to find him on the field he is not playing.

Nice tight spiral on that one. Well done, Boz.

Made the XP too! Only way could have been better if it had been to McDonald.

First Rice player to throw a TD pass in the NFL since Donald Hollas 20 years ago? Or maybe we'd had a trick play since then too involving an Owl?

Bert Emanuel only threw 1 pass in the pros, and it was intercepted. That's the best other option I could think of, and that pass was before Hollas's last.

Interesting fact thrown up at halftime, in that Villanueva was a WR in college (at Army), so they had that going for them.

BTW, Hollas threw 10 TD passes in his last NFL season (1998/Oakland Raiders) ... and one of his stellar receivers remembered him in this 2015 Sports Illustrated video: https://www.si.com/nfl/video/2015/04/29/...st-nfl-qbs

McDonald listed as Questionable with a hip injury. Went back to the locker room but seems to be back on the sideline.

Covington having a nice game so far for the Texans. Big hit to prevent a 1st and goal and then a sack to force a punt.

And now Christian has 2 sacks in the 1st half! 2nd one was helped a great deal by some guy named Watt.

Finishes with a team-leading 2-1/2 sacks in 34-17 win over Titans.

The Minnesota Vikings have placed safety Andrew Sendejo on injured reserve, ending his season after a groin injury limited him to only five games.
The 31-year-old Sendejo, the fourth-longest tenured player on the team, latched on with the Vikings in 2011 as a special teams player and has started 58 games over the past six seasons. He has been a fixture in the starting lineup next to Harrison Smith since 2015.

On Wednesday, the Steelers brought in Kai Forbath and Matt McCrane to compete with Chris Boswell, after Boswell had another disastrous game on Sunday against the Raiders.

Sadly, Boz has had a pretty disastrous season. No idea what happened.

More unfortunate Owls in the NFL news: Bryce Callahan, who was having a great year, is now out for the season with a broken foot.

Andrew Sendejo (Vikings) is already out for the season.

Hopefully Ellerbee can get a foothold with the Seahawks this offseason and Fox can get drafted or make a team as a FA. Otherwise our NFL numbers might start to dwindle.

But at least he has a TD pass. Who was the last Owl to have one of those in the NFL? Donald Hollas maybe?
