Here is the link to the 2 PM live stream announcement.

Also want to slightly re-phrase my last post: The previous head coach was high character with coaching issue. Now it is the reverse.

Lighten up OD, ODU would have taken any of the HC candidates if the school has the leadership and commitment LU does.

Quit trying to hire our former coaches! (Drinkwitz went 6-1 in 7 games as OC here in 2013)

If I was running a school and had the choice between Drinkwitz and Freeze, I'd choose Drinkwitz every time.

Finder's keepers! We can't help it that you let him get away and we are the ones with the head coach opening, not you guys. Besides, shouldn't you guys be enjoying a bowl trip right now? Would be nice for us!

You kidding? Half of Jonesboro is probably looking up Liberty season ticket prices right now. The top 2 threads on our board are literally about you guys hiring Freeze.

A large percentage of our fan base believes the only thing he did wrong at Ole Miss was the escort business, and as the "City of Churches" they are quick to forgive.

A few in our fan base is obsessed over the dude.

Hoping Freeze keeps Mike Brown, Kyle DeArmon, Bill Gillespie, Ed Gomes, and Rutigiliano.

And, I’d like to see LU keep Turner Gill in some capacity, maybe LFSN.

GENIUS idea, or maybe he could become a university-wide sports chaplain.

I like the LFSN idea. He would be great on the pregame.

New assistant coach hired, Josh Aldridge. If he recruits well, looks like a solid hire for the DLine.

From ASOA, "Aldridge was at West Georgia for 4 seasons as defensive line coach, recruiting coordinator, and NFL liason. Two players were drafted from West Georgia during Aldridge’s time there." http://www.aseaofred.com/freeze-makes-hi...oir-rhyne/

Looks like a great hire to me. Putting two players in the NFL from a Division II school within four years is unheard of, right? I love the ties to Georgia; one of the best states to recruit.

More coaching positions filled. From ASOR http://www.aseaofred.com/coach-freezes-s...-together/

Mike Brown will remain on staff as running backs coach.

Ben Aigamaua has been on staff at Ole Miss since 2012. Formally an OL coach projected to coach TE.

Sam Gregg will coach OL. He is formally the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at West Georgia. The University of West Georgia football program finished the 2018 season ranked 16th in the American Football Coaches Association top-25 poll.

On one hand, I like that Freeze has former coaches who want to keep working for him. On the other hand, he got into a ton of trouble with his staff at Ole Miss so I guess it evens out.

Overall, it looks like we have a good staff coming along.

I’m happy with the moves so far. Mike Brown was personally the only coach I wanted to keep from the previous staff. What he did this year was incredible to watch and he is going to have a stacked RB group next year.

Didn't take much time on Freeze rounding out his coaching staff. With our HC hire Walt Bell, we are waiting on the whole defensive side for assistant coaches. It's an area were we can see the the absolute bottom in D rankings. Congrats on the hires. Will be an interesting game on Nov 2. Note, we don't play at our true home, McGuirk for the entire month of October.

Kent Austin is the new co-offensive coordinator and QB coach. Austin played QB at Ole Miss. He played QB for 10 years in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was the head coach for 6 seasons in the CFL. His first season was a Grey Cup winning season. His other seasons at Hamilton were mixed. Basically, he has a ton of experience as a CFL QB and coach.

I believe the names that are in bold are fine; not sure about the other two men mentioned.

Not a fan of Coach Freeze letting Coach Gillespie go.
Thank you Coach Gillespie for everything you have done for LU.
To me, this is a head scratcher.
