I personally don't hate him. He does a fair job. I just wish he wouldn't get so excited for the other team: when they score, when they make a good play, etc. He is suppose to be our guy....

He is broadcasting for ESPN. Opposing team fans watching. He can't be a total homer. I hate when other teams have total homers doing the ESPN broadcast. Unfair criticism.

I actually like his enthusiasm. I've listened to other home broadcasts and the homerism and boring call puts me to sleep.

I'm watching a close VCU - Texas game and the announcers sound like they're calling a funeral. I prefer Ted to this.

Love Ted. Great energy and not boring. Love how he and Dave have fun with it. Who wants a dry play by play? When on ESPN, he has to be less partisan because other team fans are watching. I honestly don't get the Ted hate. Very off base to me.

I do. Let the color man add the color. Wouldn't characterize it as hate, just nerve grating. He is the anthesis of professionalism IMO. His purpose is not to entertain, it's to describe with clarity what is happening. If I want to hear a comedian, I'll go to the comedy channel.

This is the b&m team I remember from the caa days. Feels good to end their fluke streak. But I’m sure their streak of never making it to the dance will continue. They looked awful.

It hasn't that I know of, but I saw him limping badly so I assume he is injured. Others have said they saw him not being able to warm up.

Interesting, I must have missed that. I know that I saw him going thru team warm up for JMU and W&M...he looked good. I hope everything's ok.

Good game for the home team. William and Mary sucks defensively, but I thought ODU did move the ball and got a ton of good looks. Nice to see Godwin capitalize on some shots. I’ll say this for W&M, they are well coached and run beautiful offense. They are gonna be very good next year I think. They are inexperienced but I like their talent. The one real downside tonight was the turnovers. That was disappointing..

Agreed....WAY too many going further into the season.

Very impressed with Jason Wade. He's going to be special. He's one of the best players we've had in a long, long while who can drive to the basket and finish strong.

I am now officially an old dude around here. That sucks . But to hold wins over jmu, vcu, and wm is special, regardless of the season. Complete the Quinela with a win over the Ticks, and the am pretty happy. Cavet and Stith look good, and Godwin and Wade are developing. I am optimistic for the season.

I wanted to wait until we beat William and Mary tonight but I think this team has the potential to be quite good and make some real noise. The leadership in the backcourt, peppered with some young players who can put the ball in the basket on a fairly regular basis and that oppressive defense, whoo!, I think we got something going here.

P.S. I hope I didn't just jinx us.

That makes at least two of us. I got nothing against Ted at all, and he is a great supporter of ODU athletics.
