When will we know about the Paul "Bear" Bryant Coach of the Year result? That story line would be much juicier.

Excellent news. His kid's out of eligibility and now he's unfireable.

Actually, Coach Clark has won it two years in a row with a team. 2014 and 2017.

Rick Stockstill also wins in the Best Dramatic Performance category for his role in Ashes and Tears: the MTSU Post Championship Game Press Conference.

That is 100% the only reason he won. Everyone else thinks we were allowed to cheat and they are super salty about it. Evidence is on Twitter.

Not mentioned by others is the fact that some of our players were leftovers, rejects, & players that weren't able to make it at other programs.

They came here, those that needed to got their act in order, & produced on the field (& off).

That has to be the reason. It's the reason Lebron, Kobe, and MJ didn't win more MVPs. Coach Clark is obviously the best coach in CUSA this season. We had the best record and won the conference. He got us ranked briefly. We won the west with like 3 games left in the regular season.

The only reason I would give a flying fornication about c-mtsu COY is if Clark missed out on a bonus because of it. Otherwise, meh.

His kid even wears #12 LOL. Every time he looks at a photo of his kid playing at MTSU, he will always see the number 12. 03-lmfao

RE: Stockstill C-USA Coach of the year...
The fact that he won the last two seasons he actually had a team on the field probably has something to do with it. Saban or Dabo don't win COY every year in their conference, even though their teams are always at or near the top, and compete for national championships--mainly because people expect it of them. You never hear about Belichik or Popovich winning those awards either. Usually they are reserved for over-achievers.

Clark won it for our turnaround season in 2014, and again last year for our Cinderella story, when we surprised everyone. But apparently they are getting a little weary of giving it to him every year.

(For the record, I still think there's some jealousy involved, since it is voted on by the coaches.)

Coaches, no. Not openly. That would not be smart. Fans talk about it a lot on twitter and message boards though, and I speculate that at least a few coaches out there secretly think the stopped clocks and oversigning accommodations were unfair.

That's only because we won 18 games the past two years. If we were below .500 since coming back, I don't think anyone would care about it.
