Legends Born Last Night
Sutton Smith (never seen someone so pumped in a 3-TD blowout)
Corcoran (unlocked the floodgates for Sutton)
Julie Sacco (Sutton screamed her name in trophy ceremony)
Tearz (Summer tweet: “it’s scary how good i’ve gotten.”)
Childers (FOTY -> MVP)
Uremovich (Joliet’s biggest icon since Lionel Richie)
Rod Carey (“Fire Rod Carey” -> “N-I-U!” in 10 minutes)
7 (the Sarah Huckabee Sanders who was rewarded - also heard he was drunk with hot chix at the game)

Congrats all lifelong legends born last night!

Don't forget the legends who will be born 9 months from now and will all be named Sutton.

RE: Legends Born Last Night
This really is a great post because, to this day, we still talk about past legends like Chandler, Jordan, and Ward. When we see them at games, we get our pictures with them and talk about their great plays. This team had similar playmakers that we'll be talking about years from now.

RE: Legends Born Last Night
Corcoran deserves way more credit than he has been getting all year. The defense and D-line is not the same without him. This was pretty obvious last night. In the first half NIU had 1 TFL and did not force Buffalo to punt even once. In the second half, with Corcoran back, Sutton was no longer double teamed and had 2 sacks, Corcoran had 2 sacks in a row forcing a punt inside their own 20, and Buffalo only scored once.

Despite what many think, Corcoran is the focus of most of the double teams. He lines up across from their LT, gets chipped by TE’s and RB’s, and has much more run responsibility on the wide sides of the field. He has to play the run first, then rush, unless it’s a 3rd and long passing situation.

Last night was a huge game for NIU on a national stage. To me, and many other fans I had talked to, Corcoran was the difference in that game and was the defensive mvp.
