RE: 2018-19 Basketball Seasons
Basketball season starts tomorrow. Do we have what it takes to beat (2-0) Kent St. on the road? They beat Shawnee St. and Cleveland St.

I expect a victory but it is a road game and we haven't exactly been tested this season. I'd like to say I'm confident but I don't feel like it.

We have what it takes but the road game plus first D1 opponent has me thinking we lose a close one. We could win but I think the home team in a toss up should get the nod.

I agree. We took care of business on the road. Hopefully this is looked upon favorably in the future by RPI, other calculations, and individuals. Great start to the season!

That’s a good win. I thought we were gonna let it slip away at the end. Kent St. should be a pretty good MAC team. Any road win is a good win. We gave up a ton of points in the second half. My hope is to hold teams to 60 or less a game. All in all, I was pleased and thought we looked good. Looking forward to our next big game... Vandy.

Big game tonight! Vandy will be the toughest road challenge we’ve had in a while. Looking forward to it, and have the faintest glimmer of hope we could win. Go Flames!

Was at the Savannah St. game, third row behind the LU bench. This team looks great, and looks like they love each other. I can really see the great things McKay is doing that you don’t pick up on TV. It’s wonderful. I love what I see in the future for the LU program.

That being said, we handled Savannah St. like I thought we would.
We’ve got some really telling games coming up with Navy, Georgia St., and G’town.

Thanks for the insight. I agree, the future does look bright and the future may be now.

That was a pretty solid road win at Navy. I am impressed. Now, a tougher part of the schedule looms.

I am not sure how great beating Navy is. I think their non-football sports are usually pretty bad and their football would be worse if not for the triple option.

Regardless, I gratefully accept our win against them and celebrate how well the team is doing this season. The future is bright!

It’s nice to get the win but Navy is a bad basketball team this year. GAST and Georgetown should give us a good idea of where we are as a team this year.

A 20 point road win given out OOC history is good in my book.

Woh! KY Christian U., the team we play today is (1-15) and has given up more than 100 points in 10 of those games, and between 110-136 in 5 of those games. 04-jawdrop

96-55. Would like to have scored over 100 and kept them in the 40s. But it is a good showing non-the-less. I believe we have a good chance to knock off Alabama on Tuesday.

What benefit do we get from games like this? They don't sell tickets or get us exposure, they don't count them as a Division I win, and they don't make us a better team. Glad we won comfortably.
