Did Tim Smith put on a green #1 jersey tonight? That kid is a player!

First half very scary. I hope the second half we play like a team.

If it makes anyone feel better UNCG is currently down 10 to Prairie View in the 2nd half.

I love the Armus Rodriguez combo. Glad to have that again next season.

lmao
We're struggling to damn Chicago State, a punchline across the country for how bad they are.

Good thing the game is 20 minutes long, huh? take a deep breath now or is a 25 point win not enough?

The bi-polar comments tonight were as entertaining as the game.

lol, we need both to play a lot better, Boyd seems to be bit more one dimensional to me.

UNCG pulled away and won by 8. Like us, they woke up towards the end.

Bucs lost focus. The team composure breaks for spells. They’ll keep improving. Really entertaining second half! I loved the steal and dunk by Rodriguez near the end.

Thirty minutes of BLECH! and 10 minutes of playing like they should.
Free throw shooting was superb tonight. Hope that continues. Bad FT will cost you half dozen points a game.
Nothing else stood out as outstanding tonight.
#1 on Chicago State had one heck of a game.

Another double double for Rodriguez. I really like D Williamson. I think we will slowly work the kinks out as these early season games continue.

I like Williamson's explosiveness. Forbes' teams need a guy who can slash his way to the bucket.

Good is playing offense like the only thing he knows to do is shoot threes. Which is fine, but we need more energy from our guards.

RE: Official Game Thread: Chicago State (W 86-61)
Rebounding is the most consistent and extraordinary thing the Bucs are doing so far: [EDIT]AFTER this game Rodriguez was 5th in D1 with 12.6, Armus tied for 49th with 9.6, the top two rebounders in the SoCon; the Bucs as a team were 4th in D1 in rebounding margin with 18.4. Against Chicago State Rodriguez pulled down another 12, Armus 11, and the Bucs rang up a rebounding margin of +16.

Others have mentioned the improvement in free throw shooting (20-23). [EDIT]That pulls the Bucs up to .688, 174th in D1, in the middle of the pack - clearly they want to continue to improve. Hopefully games like this will get Tray Boyd (6-10 from 3) and Patrick Good (4-11 from 3) untracked in their long range shooting. This team can do a lot better than they have in that regard.

The Bucs really got Forbes ticked off on the sideline - and that was near the end of a second half where they rang up 59 points!

You got that right. I was reading the stuff on here at halftime, and really couldn't believe it. I would have thought the youngsters (looking at you in particular, purdue, but you others know you are, too) would have matured just a little bit by this year. I couldn't decide if it was more like 5th graders, or kindergarteners. But oh well, wisdom will come (I hope)…..

All that said, I'm sure glad I'm not one of those who was trumpeting the overwhelming superiority of this team one and two months ago. This team may well take a big upwards turn like last year's team, but we sure can't know that at this point. No, I didn't see this from Furple, but I also didn't think it impossible, either. Same with Sammy. Long season; there will be losses...

And as I posted 3 weeks ago, this injury with Bo is "VERY worrisome".
