I’m a simple man. I need help. Let’s say the following happens:

UC 11-1, 7-1 in the conference (future wins over UCF and ECU)
Temple 8-4, 7-1 in the conference (future wins over USF and UCONN)
UCF 10-1, 7-1 in the conference (future loss to UC and win over USF)

Who goes to the conference championship?

I think UC on tiebreaker #6 and the game would be at Nippert

If UC wins out there is the need for UCF to win out of Temple to lose. Honestly have more confidence in UC than I do the others. There is also the long shot of an at-large bid. Can an 11-1 UC get into the top 12?

Although I think we are still at least a year away from seeing the peak of what Fickell's staff and this roster can do, I like our chances in an NY6 game more than UCF's. I think our defense is good enough to keep us in the game against just about anybody outside of Alabama and Clemson.

I still think ucf winning out is the most likely scenario. We're decent underdogs this week. Nobody stops or really even slows their offense.

Navy put up 24 on UCF. UCF only put up 35 on Navy.
UC smoked Navy 42-0.
The game is winnable for UC and the Bearcats should want some payback for the shellacking they took last year.

UC. I posted the tie breakers in another thread (probably the college football one) and my interpretation of the most likely scenario preferred by UC (i.e. what you posted above).

If we end in a 2 way tie with Temple we lose, but in a 2 way with UCF we win. As I read the 3 way tiebreakers under your scenario we get all the way down to the 6th one which eliminates Temple for their nonconference/overall record. With them eliminated, it starts back with head to head between the remaining two which we would win over UCF (per your assumptions above).

But note there could be other tiebreaker outcomes if there is a 3 way tie via outcomes other than your scenario (e.g. we all 3 end up with 2 losses) I haven't played around with those.

In order for my head not to explode from all this tie breaker stuff, I have convinced myself this is how its going down ....

1. Temple will lose to USF in their noon game Saturday
2. UC will defeat UCF Saturday evening
3. UC will beat ECU the following Friday at home to wrap up an 11-1 regular season and win the AAC East
4. The AAC championship game will be held at Nippert Stadium on Dec 1st against Houston, SMU or Tulane . (please let it be Houston)

I'm sure we'll hear all about it before and during this weekend's game.

Actually concerned that UC wins out. Temple wins out. UCF loses at USF. Temple wins east. Under that scenario Bearcats only hope would be a committee ranking high enough to earn an at-large. Would need chaos from the major conferences.

Problem is, USF looks like a team that has given up....

Again this season, the Big 12 has eight bowl slots guaranteed.
There could be hope for a leftover B12 leftover like the Liberty.
B12 has 4 qualified and

1. Baylor 5-5 they lose to TCU and TT end 5-7
2. TT 5-5 they beat Baylor and KS end 7-5
3. OKS 5-5 then WVU and TCU they lose to WVU and beat TCU end 6-6
4. KS 4-6 they lose to TT and ISU end 4-8
6. TCU 4-6 they beat Baylor and lose to OKS end 5-7


B12 qualifies 6 so UC takes Liberty slot and gets an SEC team.

It'll all be moot if we lose Saturday. If we win and if Temple wins, we need UCF to win the War on I-4.
