Stupidity runs deep at USM...

Sorry to hijack the thread but our O staff is the most inept in the league. Our HC micro manages and it kills us.

Eagles were juiced and hit it from the start.
Coaching was good.
Don’t know why USM fans would not be proud of that game.
Talk about ready to play.
The play into the endzone can be questioned.
Long fg may have won it.
May not have.

No, coaching was not good, or we win this game. Thanks, however.....we have the pre-season kicker if the year standing on the sidelines watching stupidity in our play calling lose the game for us. Percentages would have been much better for him to hit a field goal rather than completing a Hail Mary for a win. The funny thing is, I had just asked someone what studid thing will we do to cost us this game. I would have never guessed this...

with zero timeouts and needing only a handful of yds to get shaun a bit more comfy, 10 secs. is an eternity to achieve that....

what a dipshite decision it was to chunk it downfield....

or OL was horrible AGAIN last night.....other than our DC, our corching sucked balls AGAIN...

On the other hand, how many times did we get to your QB last night? If we'd gotten to him again, it likely would have taken you out of range and run the clock out, anyway.

Something to think about.

the same thing....OT

there's no question our OL sucks - we knew that before the season started.....however, a simple out for 5 yds is a much higher percentage move in that situation....

USM offensive and defensive backs are scary fast and the quarterback is solid. The oline was the only real weakness I saw.

Indeed. I kind of chuckled at some USM fans saying this game wasn't a rivalry. Maybe it wasn't to them yet but I bet it is now.

USM is a class program and that's why beating ya'll is big no matter the circumstances. Good luck and beat the **** out of Blah Tech.

Congrats on the win....It's not that we didn't want to WIN the game, or that we don't respect you guys....It just isn't a rivalry for USM, YET!

Next year (ya know, losers always say "wait til next year" 04-cheers), we'll play youse guys in H'burg with 18 returning starters (all under 22 years of age), while UAB loses, what, 56 seniors?03-lmfao

Think the worm will then turn on that losing streak...for what it is worth right now (a warm bucket of s@#^....errr....spit?)04-rock

Exactly. Run along now, the adults are talking football.

Southern Miss run defense was impressively quick and aggressive. Only one running play really worked.

That final pass in regulation looked like a shot at drawing a PI flag. Probably not the best strategy.

What? Don’t you have your own game thread To ruin? I have never seen a fan base whine so much. USM fans will remember how much Louisville fans used to whine but at lest they backed it up.

As for USM wow what a defensive slugfest. Y’all were ready to play and your defensive coaches did an amazing job. We also watched two freshmen quarterbacks go at it. The future is bright for both programs.

Meanwhile tech fans are still whining.

If I recall correctly, we're going to graduate 9 defensive starters. You'll get a chance for payback.

That said, I have a lot of trust in Coach Clark.

I just hope UAB gets the hell out of that dump Legion Field. They deserve so much better. Very frustrating losing the broadcast last night. I don't know what it was due to, but my guess is that the infrastructure of Legion Field is held together with rubber bands and glue.

UAB resembles that remark...it's held together with duct tape and kite string, I'll have you know 04-cheers

Stranger things have happened, but I really believe that Clark views his work at UAB as not-done-yet. I think he wants to walk out on the field as Head Coach in UAB’s own football stadium. I think he wants to be there when Ray Watts slithers off the stage for the last time.
