Only if their starting QB is out.

Even then, from what they've shown lately, without Glass, this offense is only good for about 14 points.

Hopefully they surprise us all with a 30 point game!

I have to wonder how much game-planning when Wiegers is the known starter leads to better offense with him under center. Wiegers was dominant against Ball State, but ugly against a worse CMU team. I guess CMU's defense is better than BSU's, but he was a totally different QB against BSU.

Not that that's an excuse. Coaches should've adjusted the plan immeadiately when Glass went down.

Part of that was the defensive schemes. BSU didn't put much pressure on TW and he was able to pick them apart. CMU was pressing the entire game, took away the dunk and dunk stuff, and put the heat on him during longer pass plays.

Frank that is a pretty good analysis. Tyler can throw the ball but is absolutely horrible coming off the bench. Maybe we keep a tight end in for blocking? Maybe we put Banham in the backfield for the check-down?

How the injury situation looking? I saw Oakes had a knee brace on and I think it was Labarbara on crutches.

Exactly. Ball State's D was terrible, and schemed exactly the opposite of how you should against our Glass-less offense.

Any halfway decent DC, with decent players, can shut us down easily. Akron is one of those defenses unfortunately.

I'm with Etough here, I'm worried if we don't have some wrinkles in at QB with Issac/whoever (or at least a full-game plan with Weigers) that their offense -- much like CMU -- will make the Offense punt and the defense win the game.

If we win out, we need to pay Neathery -- probably won't be enough but he's worth it. It helps he has the players too.

They need to run more slants with Wiegers, and throw on first down. You do not want to be in third and long with Wiegers’ limited mobility.

I'm worried that PJ Fleck might pluck Neathery from us. While he was at WMU, he took our DL coach. I am hoping Neathery stays so he becomes our next head coach after we win the MAC in 2019.

Labarbara should be back this week. I sit right behind his parents.

He had TWO sprained knees after getting chopped by Army all day.

Let's forfeit the Army game in 2020. But seriously, no more service academies.

Bye the way Glass was at the basketball game tonight. Big ass knee brace and crutches.

Kato Nelson is a "day-to-day" according to Terry Bowden.

My guess is he will play, but not be 100%. But who knows?

Want to say thanks to the seniors on this year's team. Its been fun watching them as part of CC's first recruiting class. Many of them really improved over the years through hard work and dedication on the field and off.

I think EMU needs to put Stiebling in for a complete series early in the game. Force Akron to defend a legit zone read offense and even have him throw a few passes. Keep them off balance.

Really strange how they brought him in for 1 play (he ran of course) and then he sat back down for the rest of the game. When the offense was really struggling, there were quite a few fans getting restless, calling for Stiebeling, etc.

It is what it is at this point. If they had any confidence in Stiebeling, they would have given him a few series by now...........you'd think.

Question of the Day" "Will Weigers be any faster playing in the snow"?
