What’s going on with Louisiana and Georgia Southern in those last two posts?

Cool. Just looking at how are typical fall season with no sports will fare against teams below us coming up. Such a lonely time for us comparatively.

I read the "Scoring" passage on the Bubas Cup page. I don't know if the football championship game will be considered a "tournament," thus giving the winner an extra point, but I'm going to believe it will and add the point accordingly after the game.

I don’t think they are giving a point for the football championship game. I emailed a contact in the SB office to verify. I think their reasoning is that one game doe not equal a tournament. I’ll let you know what I find out.

I did receive an email and yes App will be getting 1 point for the FB championship so your numbers are correct. The SB website will be updated at some point in the near future.

I sent that request to the office also and have not received a reply. Since the points standing was updated through the end of the football regular season, I suspect they will not award the point, but I won't remove the point until I can get confirmation from someone in the office.

Keep the point, as it is correct. After bowl games settle down, or maybe even before it will be updated. I got an email this morning from the SB staff member that handles these things. Off list I can share his name if you like. He and I email about once a year over something concerning Bubas Cup and he generally replies the next day (or even right then if I catch him at his computer.) I am not sure if you are emailing to a specific person or just a general email to the SB office.

Then again I am such a nice upstanding person it is hard not to reply to my well written emails, which are such a pleasure to read and reply to as quickly as possible. :-)

Looks like I need lessons in how to come across as a pleasant person. My answer came when they added the point on the website, not a response to my text message.

Not sure we've won one yet since being in the SBC. We've finished 2nd multiple times though, hopefully we can win it this year.
