We could have won. We gave up a punt return 80ish yard TD. Should've been 7-3. . Just couldn't punch it in the end zone. Their defense was pretty good too.

And the punt return was due to an awful call that killed our drive where the defense jumped offsides but the refs called the penalty on us. Even the homer SEC announcers said it should have been called on the defense.

Offensive play calling. We were running sweeps on 3rd and 3, running out of the shotgun on 4th and 1, and for some reason we wanted to revive the wildcat offense.

UTK gave us the middle of the field all day, our OC refused to take it.

Coaching. With Charlotte the coaching gives away 10 points a game.

clt says the sec network had to mute the audio when the sideline reporter was on the air. You could easily hear a forty- niners chant!

Dooley and Jones. That is all.
Self entitled? Still a top ten all time winning program. Not like we're Auburn and LSU pretending like we've always been a good program.

As far as this century goes, Auburn and LSU don't have to pretend that they are good programs.

Stop being a bitter Memphis fan. I support the Tigers too, but some of you are so anti Tennessee, it's just exhausting sometimes. Just keep building your program. Norvell will be there another year. Truly amazing seeing the Highland corridor revamped. There are a lot of exciting things happening at the U of M, but seriously, don't poke the bear.
still competed for the SEC title 3 times since 2001. Lost all and a shot at that 2001 Miami team in the Rose Bowl. All from last decade, but a part of this century. The free fall began after the Fulmer firing in 2008. That coupled with the Kiffin hire, is what set this program back. It was stable at the time, but fans being fans, always want more. Now look what we are :( Hoping to honestly compete again in 2020. Maybe we can progress some next year.

Good W at ECU yesterday! Chris Ball needs to go though. Dude always gets his defense torn up.

@Charlotte49ers rank 12th in the FBS in total defense (304.6 allowed/gm) and 3rd in rushing defense (82.0/gm) after holding Tennessee to the Vols’ season-lows of 192 yards of total offense and 20 rushing yards. Previous UT lows: 209 total at Georgia; 31 rushing vs. Alabama. https://t.co/Ky0ZKuyIOR

Any QB's for sell in this conference? How about special teams (minus kicker and punter)?

Also, worth noting that UT had zero yards rushing at the half, -7 yards rushing until their last drive and IIRC, 18-19 offensive plays that resulted in 0 or negative yards gained.

Don't let Corbett off the hook. That PRTD was 100% on him.

yes, but he should not have had to re-kick it. Remember, he had just punted it out at the 6 yard line. Penalty for illegal shift or formation caused the re-kick.
