Forgot to mention don't get stupid drive continuing penalties against the opposition. Apparently Marshall forgot not to do that, too. The only good penalty of the night was the TD saving PI on the fake FG. Which ended in a TD, anyway.

I am proud of this team. We had so many mistakes and still won the game.

Five takeaways from the nosebleed section over here in Houston, TX

1. Feel sorry for Brady, who can't seem to even once get the ball thrown to him with any accuracy. He's wishing he'd went early in last year's draft about now, I'm sure.

2. Would USM have went for it on 4th and 1 had they not been gifted that last TD on the QB sneak? I'm not sure they would have. I'm also not sure they would have made the FG, since it would have been essentially from extra point distance, and we saw what happened there. HUUUUUUUGE swing in the game there.

No, I don't think he got in... yes, I'm biased. But I don't.

3. These turnover-fest games you have to somehow squeak out a win. Congrats to USM for getting it done.

4. Green was rusty, but we moved the ball with him in there, so I fully expect him to get the call next week.

5. DB coach has some answering to do tomorrow during film session. People will call for Doc's job.... *yawn*... they always do... but between the turnovers and the PIs, it's hard to make a case that this one was on the coaches, imo... those are in-game-on-field mistakes.

Congrats USM! The better team definitely won today.

Sorry to say, our program is medicore at best. Doc’s record against teams with winning records is putrid.

Marshall had rushed for 200+ yards 3 straight games with their current QB yet our defense manages to hold them to 31 rushing yards.....and a negative 14 total in 2Q. If we could just do that to all our opponents.

Marshall was the worse of the 2 bad football teams on the field today. That was tough to watch.

When you have two good defensive teams, and mediocre at best offensive teams, the games tends to be an ugly one. Thus, yesterday’s game.

Our defense has been stout all year. If we had any form of offense, we could be undefeated.

It’s a possibility we can pick up wins against Charlotte and UTSA.

7-4 with a bowl game and opportunity to close out 8-4, 7-0in bowl games is what we have to play for now.

It’s doable.
