I think NIU is in a slightly better place than that year, Boise would win, but it would be competitive.

Did they consult their magic 8-ball? Pretty much every possible bowl game is listed in there, against 9 possible opponents. It's like flipping a coin and predicting that it will either fall heads or tails.

I would think most of them are just throwing darts, but if anyone has any inside information it'd be the ESPN guys (since ESPN owns most bowls) and Brett McMurphy who seems to know everybody in college football.

Bottom line is the MAC has 5 tie-ins (Camellia, Frisco, Bahamas, Potato, Dollar General) plus a secondary with Quick Lane and just the ESPN-owned bowls generally.

Did not know what the "Makers Wanted" was. Looked it up, apparently, Elk Grove Village has enough cash on hand to sponsor their own bowl (or bowl sponsorships are so cheap you can get one, even if you are a government entity). Nothing says get your name out to America with a mid-major bowl tie in at an offshore tax haven.
