RE: Bearcats in the NFL - 2018
Brent Celek officially announced his retirement today. "When I thought long and hard about the prospect of putting on another uniform, it just seemed wrong. My career began, and ended, with the Philadelphia Eagles." Great career, Great person, Great Bearcat. Congrats Brent!

Bengals cut OT Justin Murray, but the Raiders pick him up on their 53 man roster it looks like.

Good long snappers are very valuable. Plus they face little risk of injury. Great job if you can excel at it.

Pretty solid first half for Eric Wilson of the Vikings against the bears,
4 tackles, a sack, a tackle for loss and 2 qb hits.

Eric Wilson 6 4 1 1 0 2 0

Korey Cunningham is now starting at RT for the Cardinals after Andre Smith has been released. He’s started the last two games.

Per PFF, he only allowed two pass rushes in his two starts at LT. Keep in mind, he was up against Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa yesterday. Always surprised me that he dropped as far as he did...his wingspan and athleticism alone was enough to show he would at least be serviceable in the NFL.

I had no clue Connor Barwin was still playing professional football. Not a knock, I just haven't heard his name in quite some time. His stats show he's played in 11 games, has 11 tackles, and one sack. He's also 32. Blessed to have had a solid, long NFL career.

Travis Kelce: Future HOF'er?

Or did his "late" start, i.e. UC suspension and injury in his rookie year, limit his potential numbers to gain entry?

Are you talking about the James P. Kelly Athletics Hall of Fame or the Ring of Honor at Nippert Stadium?

I think he'll eventually get into the JPK HOF but it will take him a while to get there. They are still are inducting guys from the late 90s/early 2000s and haven't even gotten anywhere close to the Dantonio era, let alone induct someone who played several years later.

Aside for Shaq Washington, they haven't added anyone in the ROH in a while. I've expressed it before, but while worthy I think there were at least 10-12 guys who came before him who should have gotten in first, including Tony Pike, Mardy Gilyard, Isaiah Pead, Derek Wolfe, Connor Barwin among some others.
