Looks like the eagle and LU logo instead of just the eagle.

Exactly, it’s the LU with the eagle.

I think we win, and by the end, win comfortably. I feel pretty good about this one now. Guess I’m drinking the koolaid, wearing the red tinted glasses, buying the hype.

Finally hoping for a real crowd of 20,000+

I agree, we should win and we better win. We can't afford a loss, especially in front of a homecoming crowd who likely are seeing the FBS team for the first time. In addition, it will be much easier to recruit with the team having a 7-5 record instead of a 5-7 record. Losing to an FCS team could demoralize the team and spiral downwards.

That is a sharp looking helmet. I like the 71 on the other side. Sort of an old school vide.

This game is bad for the ole’ ticker and indigestion. It’s closer than I hoped but even as expected. The good thing, it has been obvious missed assignments and plays that have resulted in huge ISU plays. Hopefully that’s corrected at the half. I still think we find a way to win.

A win is a win but hopefully our future FCS opponents don't hang around as long as Idaho State did. Just need to win two of our remaining FBS games to be bowl eligible.

I had that exact thought as I watched the highlights and reviewed the statistics.

4-3 is a lot better than 3-4, but the brutal fact remains: LU just got torched by an FCS team for 41 points, 631 yards, and 28 first downs. Really no other explanation except that Liberty is putting a lot of FCS-caliber players on the field, itself. At least it is on defense.

Two weeks to get ready for UMass — the coaches need to arrange for the team to watch the UMass@UConn game (ESPNU) next Saturday/12pmET. Especially the defense.

No mistake, Idaho St. is a good football team. It was a game we were supposed to win, and did. 4-3 is great for us. One more win puts us where I figured we’d do finish the season.

@Virginia? @Auburn? Good luck.

Another way to put it is, there are 2 more winnable games against FBS opponents and Liberty must win both (@UMass, home vs NMSU) to even have a chance at the Cure Bowl. The good news is, LU is in a great position to win both of them. And beat Norfolk State, too, of course.

Really should be 7-5 after Norfolk.

Both Virginia and Auburn are beatable but I don't expect a victory.

Other than Norfolk St., I’m not confident about any other games on the schedule. I am simply hoping we can beat UMass next.

I am in the same boat. I think we have a shot against UMASS and NMSU but I don’t expect to win those games.

Why not? Does UMass just have a better class of players or coaches? Any specific reason?

I think Liberty will definitely win the NMSU game — and 50/50 chance to win in a blowout.

UMass — always a different story when you go on the road. This is about as close to a pure tossupas you’ll find. But the Minutemen have not been as good as generally expected 2 months ago. The Flames can take it. Use the off-week wisely.

Well I’m not 100% confident we’ll beat NM State beacause they have already beat us once. They can do it again. We should win, but I don’t know we will win.

UMass is similar to NM State in my mind. Good offense, questionable defense, and it’s a road game.
