RE: Uncw/Unc nationally televised
When Hofstra played North Carolina in Puerto Rico on November 19, 2010, all ESPN cared about was Harrison Barnes. They could have cared about Charles Jenkins, who was a senior after winning Player of the Year as a junior. Jenkins finished 2010-2011 sixth in Division I in points per game. North Carolina won 107-63, and Hofstra went 22-12 that year while the CAA got three teams in the NCAA Tournament for the only time. To put the 44 point margin of defeat in perspective, last season Hofstra went 19-12 and lost to Villanova by 24. 44 points is Hofstra's biggest margin of defeat since they joined the CAA in 2001-2002 (I didn't check farther back). During that time, Hofstra has played Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Connecticut (while they were in the Big East), Syracuse, St. John's, Maryland, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State, dePaul, Nebraska, Providence, Gonzaga, South Carolina, Purdue, Oregon State, St. Joseph's, Dayton, George Washington, Fordham, Massachusetts, Southern Methodist, St. Bonaventure, Auburn, Clemson, South Florida, Richmond, La Salle, Virginia Tech, and Notre Dame.
