The UConn women's basketball team allowed 53.4 PPG in the 2017-18 season.

Wow.

I know people have tee'd off on Pasquiloni, but the kiss of death to the UConn program was Bob "Disco" Diacco. And when UConn hired him, I remember pointing out his absolute disaster of a "Defense" while he was here at UC. I know people used to get nuts about Joe Tressey's "Bend-but-don't-break" Defensive strategy between the 20's, but his defenses were stout and stingy in the Red Zone. Under Diacco, we just were tissue-paper.

Thank God, Disco only got one season here...though the recovery took a couple of years. Diacco was running the show out there. <<<shudder>>>

Diaco's greatest achievement was trying to manufacture a rivalry game with UCF. The made-up "Civil Conflict" even had a trophy, which UCF refused to acknowledge. Apparently, the trophy is missing and Uconn claims Diaco took it with him after he was canned.

I think both were doomed from the get go. Pasquiloni was Tuberville, but had been in real retirement mode for even longer.

LMAO. I totally forgot about this! What a joke. How TF do you make up a thing and the other team doesn't even give enough of a f**k to acknowledge its existence?!? Embarrassing.
