I went to the game - they never draw for weeknight games. I went to USF/Temple a few years ago when USF was the conference leader and no one was there for that either.

Watched part of the game. Neither team impressed me much. The Tulsa turnovers were pretty bad - not necessarily great defense from Temple.

The stadium really looked empty.

Thought the same thing as I watched. Will be interesting to see how UC plays them.

Temple has always struggled with attendance. Seriously. They only have good attendance when they are playing Penn State or Notre Dame...and that's thanks to the PSU and ND fans. It doesn't help any when it's a weeknight and they're playing the smallest FBS school (Tulsa) that is half-way across the continent from Philadelphia.

The absolute terrible attendance is why I think Temple football is one of the most endangered programs in FBS. It's not like the Temple fans would actually miss Temple FB, and they have no real options to even consider dropping down to play FCS (they have no facility to even entertain the thought). The rent on "The Linc" is going up and they have no real say in the matter. They're basically screwed.

It one reason i never understood why the league added Tulsa and Tulane. Marshall would have been better and so would have Army. (Yes i know Army wasn’t likely to join.) Lookinb back the league expansion south and west did a huge disservice to UC, Temple, and UConn. Heck even Ohio or Toledo would have been smarter adds.

I enjoy your posts and can tell you're a big time uc fan so don't take this the wrong way, but we are all very lucky you aren't running the athletic department.

Our game at home against Navy looks better. SMOO U takes them down at home 31-30 in OT. Good Lord is Ohio-Meyer State beating down Tulane.

Wow has Rutgers fallen a long way up to the Big 10.

On the other end, it looks like Buffalo isn't such a joke these days. They are 4-0 too with wins over Temple and now Rutgers. It made me curious about their HC since I couldn't remember who their coach(es) were since Jeff Quinn.

As a wikipedia look refreshed/revealed, they hired Lance Leipold who was running an absolute monster program in DII at Wisconsin-Whitewater for 8 years going 109-6 including 15-0 in 5 of the last 6 seasons before shufflin' off to Buffalo. Shades of BK before CMU hired him?

It's been a long time since Buffalo did much in football. They stumbled to 2-10 in his 2nd year at Buffalo but have gone 6-6 and now 4-0 since then. If they can keep this up, I could see him being in high demand pretty soon.
