I bought Yankee-Orioles tickets for a conveniently timed 4:05 pm game last Sunday. Not regretting that

I'll be at the Air Show in VB. Not attending or watching the VT game. It will be an utter embarrassment. I'm not really sure who's going to come and watch VT tear our team apart. VT fans maybe? I'm not gonna pay much attention to ODU football this year. It's a disgrace and the university isn't doing anything about it. I don't think the university is serious about football and after another 2 years of this they'll probably go back to FCS. If they do that, I'll cut all my ties with ODU and get an online Master's at a Power 5 school. I'm still young and single so I probably could move somewheres else away from Virginia.
Holy over reaction batman. Yeah we suck right now....but cut all ties? That's something.

Yes you that's right. Going back to FCS is the university's way of giving up. Who wants to be apart of the university that gave up instead of hiring to appropriate staff? It's like me using my same study habits from high school to get through college. It doesn't work! This is what I see from ODU week after week. If ODU goes back FCS and gives up I want no parts of the University!

Using both QB's never works. Just settle on one from here on out. I don't think anyone cares anymore.
Jeremy Cox reminds me of Eddie Lacy before he trimmed down.
I don't think you are describing "effort". Sounds like "execution".
I can't say the effort isn't there, but I believe the plan being asked to execute is inadequate.

I was a freshman in 1980. I remember realizing that the lack of football was a bigger deal than I thought it would be. Spent 29 years wishing for a losing football team vs. not having a team at all.
I like winning as much as the next person, but I understand that half the teams in the country lose each week, and some favorites get beaten by underdogs. I have never walked away from watching our team, and that includes the 80-20 blasting at UNC. Every play is a win or a loss to me. If I see only one win for every 3 losses, it's better than not having a team.
Just my perspective.
That being said, we can't continue on the same path if we want to win (and by win I mean 6-6). We need to change the coaching approach. If that means a change of coaches, so be it.

Can't even think of a coach I dislike more than Larry Fedora.
He **IS** a P5/FBS coach...
I'd give my left nut to get Larry Fedora as our head football coach.
I think Carolina fans would be happy for us to take him. They might even let you keep your nut! They also seem ready to garrote their OC, so maybe we could get him in the deal, too.
As an aside on this little daydream, Fedora v Davis: will their G-5 battles become legendary?

That would be great. Everyone is also talking about we don't have money. We have money and say if we did get someone like Larry Fedora running our program, how many people would donate more money to keep Larry as HC when he starts winning games? I know I would!

Effort is both mental and physical.
When you continue to blow coverage you may not be putting enough effort in that category. Like working harder but not smarter.

Larry Fedora, past 10 years:
2008 Southern Mississippi 7 6 Bowl W
2009 Southern Mississippi 7 6 Bowl-L
2010 Southern Mississippi 8 5 Bowl-L
2011 Southern Mississippi 12 2 Bowl-W
2012 North Carolina 8 4
2013 North Carolina 7 6 Bowl-W
2014 North Carolina 6 7 Bowl-L
2015 North Carolina 11 3 Bowl-L
2016 North Carolina 8 5 Bowl-L
2017 North Carolina 3 9
I'm not sure that Fedora's the right fit for this crowd. Regardless, it's a moot point as barring a dead girl or live boy, Bobby's not getting fired this year.

There is nothing of his values we want. It not like he wins enough to sell our souls to the devil. This season.
"The number of players found to have violated NCAA rules was so high that UNC was allowed to stagger their suspensions for the safety of the active roster."

He cant even get in his drop before he has to scramble. It wont matter whos playing.
Because BD changed the rushing scheme. 1st half was hat on hat basic stuff. Our OL has sucked for 2 years and what is even more embarrassing is BW bragging how experienced they are. When we heard our D-line was spreading them, I knew we were in trouble.

Some of the Carolina Faithful are pining for Les Miles. Maybe we should skip the middleman and just get him?

This season is over before it started.
No odu coach can ever be fired under any circumstances.
Remember, Blaine Taylor “just had a cold” and wood Selig covered for him until he was piss drunk at the George mason game.
Performance doesn’t matter, just feelings.
Give Wood a raise!

There's been a number of posts about poor body language/behavior by SW on the sidelines yesterday. Anyone who could shed any light on what happened there?

The color analyst mentioned his body language late in the game when SW was coming off the field. Not sure what he saw, but thought he referred to him as looking defeated.

Yes. It was after an incomplete pass on 3rd down. A defender was saying something to SW. Williams smiled as he started to the bench (from opposite side of the field). Once they separated, Williams was looking down as he jogged off the field.
The announcer thought that the head down was bad body language. This was a classic example of an announcer forcing something into the broadcast to make him look smart or insightful. It made no sense. I didn't fall for it. If you look down, you're defeated. If you look upbeat, you are not competitive enough. Just stupid.
