I have to admit that I am a bit worried... by the fact that I am not worried. I know "on paper" doesn't count on the field, but on paper we should destroy Navy. Navy's defense is just bad. Their offense isn't all that great. I am predicting a double digit Memphis win and if our defense is anywhere as good as I think we are going to be, it will get ugly pretty fast.

I would love to absolutely roll Navy.

Option is beaten by the defensive line. If Tate and Swamp Donkey can get into the backfield and disrupt the QB making him pitch early, we win. Frankly, I like how our defense has played in each of the 3 years. I think that this will be the best defense we’ve had against them.

I’m glad we were able to prep for them in the preseason since we are playing them in our first real game.

I’m guessing that Navy’s defensive game plan involves a lot of blitzing and putting pressure on what they feel is an untested QB.
