I don't think any are as talented as Lawry (maybe Davis?), but that is a very strong and deep group and you would think they could find at least a couple guys to step up.

I am thinking either Geiger, Strong or Lala will write their name this season to go along with Cox or may be Sinclair and/or Gemonta surprise us all who knows they all look talented but can they get it done on the field? Coach Banks know it better than any of us. We will see when Lions get ready to pee on the flames in L'burg.

Is it just me or has there been almost no reporting about camp this year? I like the profiles of these players but there hasn't been much in the way of performance on the field. I miss Harry's in depth blogs.

A little later in the scrimmage, Williams found Duhart for a 35-yard touchdown.

Funny about reading these things, how you interpret them is a barometer for optimism or pessimism. For example "The defense came out on fire, producing seven-straight three and outs to start the scrimmage" can either mean our defense is great, or our offense sucks. Just depends on the reader.

Carry on

Matt Geiger is really making a name for himself in camp. It seems he is being mentioned on odusport writeups every other practice. He caught my attention during the spring game.

Is Geiger a walkon?

He is a 2017 walkon who came here as a safety, coaches moved him over to running back at the start of spring practice this year.

And FWIW, he was a running back in high school so it's not new.

I'm excited to see what he does this year. If he's as good as I think he will be, this will likely be the first year my favorite Monarch is on the defensive side of the ball.

RE: Camp: Sights and sounds
Is it just me or are their other people who are having trouble watching the daily video's on ODU's sports sight? Always has worked and the last couple of days it just stays black. I have not changed anything or updated anything it just stopped working. Not only football video's, but all sports. There's not a whole lot of information that comes out of them, but something is better than nothing.
