You speak the truth...But Tubby should have known he couldn't replace them.

Penny appears to legitimately have that option because he appears to be attracting similar level talents. Time will tell if he can close the deal.

It is. Some say that Pastner reached the same conclusion also, but got over-ruled.

Very few coaches could get away with saying no to the Lawsons though. Not enough trust in Pastner or Tubby to do so. A great national recruiter could - like Cal. And a much trusted local guy could - like Penny. Good thing is Penny may prove he's also a great national recruiter.

You are giving Tubby too much credit.

He didn't care who Keelon was or who his sons were.

He had no intention of winning on day 1 or day 366.

Keelon could have been Bob Knight with his sons Kobe Bryant and Lebron James but that wouldn't keep Tubby from tubbin' it up.

None of them could if Dedric and KJ were coming out. You would be passing on two top 35 Memphis kids. Not something you could explain away.

They weren't top 35 kids. Dedric was #36 and KJ was #53. Pretty comparable to Chandler #64 and Johnathan top 25.
