RE: Ed Schultz dies at 64 as TDS is now a terminal disease....
Ed Shultz had a strange life. He was a star QB for Minn St-Moorhead but was originally from Virginia. He was formerly a right wing conservative, but divorcing a conservative women and marrying a liberal totally changed his politics. He used to be the voice of NDSU, but had several run ins with NDSU fans, including one where NDSU fans threw a whiskey bottle at him in the press box and he ended up going after them in the stands during the game. He then got a job with UND. It is not often that somebody that was the face of NDSU changes to UND, but that stint didn’t last too long before he went national with his politics. He had a vicious temper and made enemies wherever he went.

Here is a commentary by another left wing writer who worked with him in the past.

I don't wish death on anybody. It would be un-Christian of me to do so.

That said, Ed Schultz was a massive wet fart of a turd.

I mostly remember his being a political bomb thrower and little more.

At the time, he was the blue collar version of Rush Limbaugh.

I can't even begin to explain to you how wrong you are.

For you to even THINK about posting something that stupid on this message board, you either:

1) Have never listened to Rush Limbaugh, outside of MSM soundbites.
2) Have never listened to/watched Ed Schultz.

One is an INCREDIBLY intelligent, poignant, thoughtful man that has MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of daily listeners... and the other was a hack. A blowhard that shouted people down, bordered on actual delusion at times, and had little to no following.

I find it amazing how unsympathetic are some of the columns being written about his death.

Sadly, in this current political climate, little amazes me any more.

The ones I'm talking about are from people who lean left or hard left. Those I find really surprising. Usually they band together.

I'm reminded of Keith Olbermann's firing from his first gig with ESPN. I knew some people there and I said to them that I was surprised. The answer I got was, "Don't be. He was a pompous, narcissistic, a-hole that nobody wanted to work with."
