Sometimes I wonder if our admin and coaching staffs think our colors are Blue and White.

It would be judicious to heed the call of the fans.

Darrias Murdock. DT. 6'5" 277. This makes 3 lineman from the city of Tulsa in this class. Hopefully our circle around the city is slowing gaining strength and we can continue to keep good players here.

Need to make sure we're getting the best for our system from here in town; as well as keeping the pipelines to Texas and LA open. Bill Blankenship could recruit the hell out of Oklahoma... but it got him nowhere.

That being said, these Union kids look like sure contributors.

As you said, Blankenship tried to win with local players and it failed.
Dave Rader also tried to win with local players and failed. However, I would prefer taking local marginal players over out of state marginal players. But so far Montgomery's recruiting does not get me excited.

I feel like his recruiting is slowly getting better. The unfortunate part is that word "slowly".

You can tell you're in the doldrums of summer when Houston fans are giving academic smack talk.

Todd Graham and kragthorpe won with local kids and rader had flashes, he was hamstrung by a president who tried to kill athletics. Bill Blankenship won some and Montegomery won with Blankenship players.

We never rank high in recruiting, we have to find a certain set of players and those don't necessarily line up with recruiting rankings and our small alumni base means we get little love. I like the physical make up of our recruits and their offer lists are solid. We will see how they develope a big key for Tulsa players.

Not sure that the offer lists of TU recruits are solid. I would like to see some recruits with P5 offers for a change. IIRC there was only one recruit in last year's class that had a P5 offer.

Per Bleacher Report, UCF and Memphis possess the 4th and 6th best backfields, respectively in D-1 FBS.
