UNT picks up another 3* OT in John Brunner. UNT now has 10 commits, all rated as 3* by 247 composite. 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 OT, 2 ILB, 2 OLB, 2 WR.

Some of these guys could see the field as freshmen in 2019. I hope we can hang on to most of them.

LOL! You sound like the WKU guys last year, and the Marshall fans a couple of years ago. Remember that? I do find it interesting that an inordinate number of UNT commits are supposedly "3-star" recruits, but only have offers from NMSU, Texas State and such.

Lol, Yes UNT is killing the "3-star" recruiting trail against Incarnate Word, Houston Baptist, and Abilene Christian.

I never put much stock in recruiting rankings including Tech's ranking unless the recruit has multiple offers from respectable P5 programs.

Nothing has caught my eye about UNT recruits but the size of the RB. You start beating out TCU or Oklahoma State for recruits that will turn some heads

Not sure why you have a problem with North Texas. UNT hasn't had much success in recruiting in quite some time. This is shaping up to be a very good class for us and we are excited about it. This entire thread was created so fans could post new recruits, so myself and other Mean Green fans will continue to celebrate our recruits despite your opinions. Best of luck with your recruiting.

No need to get defensive. There's real validity in the fact that most of UNT's supposed "3-star" commits (that we've seen here) don't have P5 offers, or even high quality G5 offers. If they were really 3-star athletes, wouldn't some of the P5's be offering?

The average UNT commit has 0.7 P5 offers while the average LA Tech commit has 0.57 P5 offers, just saying.

Low level P5, didn’t see any from any respectable P5 programs except the RB, Nebraska

Tech has a recruit with offer from Mississippi State, another with offer from TCU

Hopefully those stick, both of those schools turn Tech recruits all the time.

Both schools will get recruits pick off by P5 programs

Glad you posted those P5 offers. Some on here look down on recruits that don't get offered by P5's. 05-stirthepot

Oh he didn't have an offer from Alabama? He's not really a 3* then.

FAU picks up commitment from a 3* Marcus Lafrance, CB, 6'3", 175 (Deerfield Beach, FL). He had 15 FBS offers, including Nebraska, Texas, Pitt, NC State, Ole Miss, Stanford

He's quite tall for a CB. One rarely sees a 6'3" corner.

That is an excellent pick up! I'm green with envy.

Can you post his 247 profile?
