$55 Million makeover planned for Tom Lee Park
This likely means the BBQ contest will stay at Tom Lee and won't be moved to Tiger Lane. That was one long term option recently discussed.

I like the fact that the park is flat and without trees. That's what a "riverfront" park should be like. They are going to block a million dollar view of the river. If they want trees, then people can go up to Harbor Town greenway.

They sure did a great job building the restaurant and boat dock and stayed on budget. Go for it.

That's great. $55 million to spec out a park that is closed to the public for 6 weeks during one of the nicest times of the year.

The designers of the project wanted to move the festivals to Martin Luther King, Jr. Riverside Park.

Every park downtown is going to get updated, and connected by greenways.

It's a good plan.

only good thing about this plan is that they are not wasting $155,000,000. ..
