Mitchell Meissner wins Texas Amateur

Pretty nice win for the recent Owl graduate. One thing this article talks about which I've wondered about was the fact that he started putting left handed during the year (even though he is a righty) and that has really improved his putting. Wasn't there a PGA player a few years back who did that - without googling it up, I recall he was a bit of a controversial player probably playing the majority of his golf in the 1980's??
ETA - Mac O'Grady was who I was thinking of (I did look it up). I guess others have done it too on the PGA Tour like Blaine McAllister and Notah Begay.

Notah Begay actually used a double sided putter and switched handedness based on how the putt would break (would always putt with his body on low side of the hole). I can't imagine how bad your mental game has to be to attempt something like that.
