RE: Iowa Tickets
NIU seriously sent theirs back without opening them up to non-donor STH’ers?

I don’t believe this is accurate. I was told seat allocations wouldn’t be figured until later in the summer. They wouldn’t even have the tickets yet. I’ll have to check on this.

Agree. It doesn’t seem accurate NIU returned their allotment already. I was told mid summer also ... I am a donor waiting to hear back on my order. Last year Nebraska tickets were distributed in mid-July and the ticket office told me (at the Spring Game) it would probably be similar this year for the Iowa game.

RE: Iowa Tickets
No matter what, it is far less expensive to buy the tickets on a regular ticket site then through NIU. The cost will come down the closer we get to the game day.

I got great seats to the San Diego Stage game a few weeks before the game. Very inexpensive as well. Anyway, stubhub and other sites are less. Might as well get a good seat and rub noses with the Iowa fans. LOL

Nothing like sitting in a group of Iowa fans on an oppressively hot day. When you are overcome by the stench, you won't know if it's from the Iowa fans or the nearby pig farms.

RE: Iowa Tickets
Does anybody still have that picture of that Iowa fan after NIU won the last time? He had kind of a "not impressed" look on his face? That was classic.

That was a great day! Looking at Iowa's roster...their talent is equal to NIU.

Can't wait.

RE: Iowa Tickets
My original point was that those people ending up in the Iowa sections might end up sitting next to that guy. Could be good or bad depending on taste

Sitting in Kinnick is bad enough being a visitor...been to 4 NIU games there. You need to be around some of your own people.

I agree - sitting in the NIU section at Iowa was awesome.

Nothing against Iowa fans in general, but I got harassed the last time at Kinnick which is why I’ll overpay just to sit in the NIU section.

Yep, agreed. I got harassed a bit at Ohio State and Michigan. That's to be expected when their fans have brains the size of peas, and those peas are swimming in alcohol. The fans at Minnesota were by far the nicest. Very pleasant and had some nice conversations. It was a real pleasure to see such maturity from a Big Ten school. Of course, however, now that PJ is there........

Makes me smile. That kid looks like such a twerp, especially with those Iowa give-away sunglasses.

P.S. Speaking of give-away sunglasses, an attendant at the Purdue game handed me a pair of Purdue sunglasses with the P logo on the lenses (quite cool). I told him I was an NIU fan, and he told me they were for all fans. He was such a nice guy, that I could not refuse him.

P.P.S. Wouldn't Huskie sunglasses be a GREAT give-away at a home game? IMO, those would be fabulous! Should not be hard to get a sponsor(s) to fund them. C'mon Athletics, think!! 03-idea
