Pretty preposterous opening line IMO. Probably loading the account and grabbing this number before it drops, which I'd imagine it will.

I think it sounds about right. Good Big Ten team at home against a good MAC team. Iowa is a potential 10 win team.

In before the “Carey owns the Big Ten” crowd gets here.

Plus, Iowa will have a little chip on their shoulders from the last game there.

If Iowa wasn't losing their 3 best players I would say this is probably right. With them losing all 3, I think it comes down to a field goal.

10-13 feels about right.

Would love to have 2 consecutive wins against Iowa as we do Purdue, fingers crossed.

After that Duke game I don't have too much faith in the team to cover.

Going to Vegas next weekend. Going to jump on this if it stays this high.

I would not feel comfortable taking the Huskies with this line. You would have to approach 18 before I would bite

RE: NIU +14 @ Iowa
Iowa has a couple guys who used to work at NIU so we won’t have the surprise/scout factor. But this defense is good enough and the Huskies play hard enough (against B1G teams) to keep the game interesting.

A win probably requires our defense scoring or setting up on a tee 10 points.

I think we have a psychological edge against Iowa. We always play competitive ball against them. The defense will come to play and this will be Childers coming out party. I expect a close one.....

I think that picture of TLL going in for the score against Iowa with the backdrop of a sea of red is one of my favorite all time NIU pics.

The one guy Tim P is a potential future Huskie HC.

If we didn't get curbed stomped by a 6-6 Duke team in our last game I'd feel better about this game but Iowa is a much better program than Duke and Childers needs to become a legitimate passing QB because he isn't that much of a threat as a runner.

RE: NIU +14 @ Iowa
Our chances in this game depend on whether ot not Childers has been able to develop his passing game. Last year he struggled to complete short, intermediate and long passes. If this is still the case we are doomed. If he has developed in the offseason the game could be close. I would love to see NIU beat Iowa!

Is that QB that we recruited that changed to Iowa at the last minute in 2017 still on the team?
