3-9 should be in the triple digits

I agree. I think our offense will basically suck and not sure of our defense. And that to our offensive coordinator and head coach and it all adds up to a dismal season. To make things worse we have only 5 home games. One more thing to add to this rosy picture is that I not expecting much improvement in our running game with basically very few OL players added and no outstanding running backs. Also lost maybe our best returning offensive lineman to GT. At QB we may be average at best. Sure hope I'm wrong but not optimistic.

Even if we are improved, our early schedule is pretty brutal

When all the dust settles this year, I think it will be Marshall, FAU and FIU from the east and Tech and USM from the west

If you really believe the battle for the west is between LA Tech and USM then you need to read up on the other teams in the west. You may want LA Tech and Southern Miss to be at the top of the division, but right now it appears North Texas has the best odds. To be honest, I think UAB will be in the thick of it too.

Lol, USM will be improved with Jack Abraham as QB,

Nothing about UNT impressed me last year, Pathetic showing in CUSA championship and bowl game. Sorry that’s just opinion don’t take it personal

LA Tech's kicker graduated. We won't be attempting half as many of the FBS leading FG attempts that we kicked in 2017. That nonsense lost us 4 games late (3 by 1 point & 1 OT)- UNT being one of them. And yes, we've got Boston Scott's replacement in place. Can't wait for 2018 football!

Yes, we beat LA Tech by 1 point in Ruston last season.

This year the game is @ North Texas, and we return our 1st Team All-Conference QB and all of our starting receivers, from our record setting offense. I can't wait for the 2018 football season either. 04-cheers

You all had a crazy win against us. A stop & a craxy 90 yard drive. UTSA ( we) blew that game bad

We have too many question marks, especially at QB.

Yes, there are question marks, but all of our programs have those. UTSA still has a lot of talent, and Wilson can coach. I agree with Menace, UTSA is too low. I'd place y'all around 85-90.

I'm not sold on Wilson's coaching ability just yet. Love his enthusiasm, but many of us were scratching our heads last year at the ineptitude of our offensive play-calling. And while I get that Wilson wasn't the OC, in the end he also has to answer for his team's inability to score and lack of offensive imagination.

We have questions at QB, probably even bigger questions on our offensive line, and no one's really sure what to expect from our new OC. And btw, we seem to be falling in the recruiting rankings, which isn't entirely Wilson's fault as we've lost a couple pieces on our coaching staff, but that still raises more question marks going forward as well. I would agree with you though and put us around 90. But to be honest, there really isn't much of any difference at all between 90 and 102, so it's all the same to me. lol

We finished #1 in CUSA per Rivals in 2017. 2nd in CUSA in 2018. See sources below.

I agree with QB. But that's been the problem since the first two years.

UNT won what 5 games by less than a score and Tech lost four games by less than a score including the UNT game by a 1 point

I watched UNT play several times last year including the blow out losses in CUSA championship and bowl game by a Sunbelt team. UNT offense is stagnant at times and their defense is not very good at all.

Just my opinion but UNT got every break last year and was exposed in CUSA championship and bowl game on national TV

Truth. Not trying to be "mean" to side show Joe....05-mafia but, the fact is, UNT does NOT impress. UNT may have been the luckiest team in America last year, winning so many close games. The odds say they wont get that lucky again. I'm not sold on Mason Fine at QB.

I expect UNT to crash back to earth in 2018. Oh sure, they'll still win 5 or 6 games because their schedule is so weak. UNT will surely beat Incarnate Word (WTF? UNT should be ashamed for scheduling this), Liberty (another WTF?), UTEP, Rice, and most likely ODU. They will lose to SMU, LA Tech, Arkansas, USM, and FAU. The UTSA & UAB games are a tossup.

Is UNT getting $$ for their home-n-home w/ Liberty?

Heck yes. Spanish Fort has been good to UAB.

UNT did win the west last year, close games or not, and they have a ton of returning starters so to me its UNT, LT, UAB at the top with Rice being improved but an unknown quantity, USM should take a minor step back but they usually are better than people think they will be. UTSA will likely struggle and UTEP, even if improved, will struggle too.

In the east it's FAU, Marshall and MT at the top, imho.

Of course been to several games at Apogee, best stadium I have been to in CUSA. Right down the road relatively. Well organized, nice facilities, legit staffing, everything is top notch from UNT. I wish I could say the same for Tech03-lmfao
