RE: Strong points and points of concern for your team
Troy Defense is as deep and talented as it has ever been. Year 4 under Vic Koenning can really be something special. There is some inexperience, but I think we've rotated well.

Troy offense is a talented group. Weakness is QB experience and leadership experience. I'm sure there are leaders on the team, but replacing Silvers and Chunn, along with receivers Thompson, Johnson, and McCormick will be tough. The talent and depth is there though.

Special teams return unit could be the best in America. We bring back last season's #8 kick returner nationally in CB Marcus Jones, as well as 2016's #11 kick returner Jabir Frye (out with injury in 2017) and add an electrifying return man from Louisville as a grad transfer in Treveon Samuel. Doesn't really matter who you kick it to, there's a chance for it to be ran back for a TD.

Keeping the team "hungry" is always a concern after two big seasons.

For TXST:

Strong: LBs
We ok: WR, DB, RB
Concerns: OL, DL, TE
Feast or Famine: QB

Not sure what to expect from the QBs, I'm sure some of y'all are familiar with our frontrunner Soph Willie Jones. He's a great athlete but his passing ability will have to improve this year or we will be screwed as is tradition. He showed some flashes last year and has a ton of potential though, if he can develop as a passer instead of staying a thrower he could be great. The others competing are redshirt or true freshman.

To be honest, I'm worried about CB and S. Veteran starters like Sullivan, Clay, Allen, and Williams have left...funny how the all the starting DBs graduated together at the same time.

Place kicking is a concern, but we're hoping Wright has finally turned the corner because he finished strong last season.

Other positions are fine or trending up. Offense should be more fun to watch.

I'd move QB to minor concerns. Werts is a great athlete, but I worry that last year is going to make it hard for him to trust what he sees and sticks with the script. The only other change I would make to your list is moving WR up. We seem to have an unusually high amount of talent there for an option team.

I thought the same. I also might move OL down to minor concerns.

Major concern for me is coaching. While everything so far seems right, we still have an unproven head coach.

A-State:

OFFENSE
Strong: WRs will be hell on wheels, QB is obviously the best in the Sun Belt
Maybe Strong: RBs should be better with Merritt running A-Back and Weh-Weh a big back . . . OL is experienced and deep
Meh: TE are bigger and should block better but not match Mack's receiving skills

DEFENSE
Strong: DL will once again dominate Sun Belt
Suck: LB are weak, CB are not proven . . .

RE: Strong points and points of concern for your team
We have an unknown quantity at QB, whoever it is.

RB depth is thin after Jalin Moore.

Replacing multiple all-conference OLs.

New Defensive Coordinator, who has no experience at that position.

New starting linebackers replacing four-year starters.

Besides our deep WR corp, strong secondary, Satt still being head coach and the inability of anyone to prove otherwise, I don't see how we win a game in 2018.

RE: Strong points and points of concern for your team
How would I describe the Red Wolves football team? Three words. Hard-working. Alpha male. Jackhammer. Merciless. Insatiable.

Weaknesses: The Red Wolves work too hard. They care too much. Sometimes they can be too invested in being good at football.

Strengths: Well, the Red Wolves' weaknesses are actually ... strengths.

Question marks
QB, MLB

Strong
OL, DB
Coaching staff

Fine
RB, WR, DL

Inexperience at QB could cost us some games early in the season...

I feel better about the coaching this year than I did last season but it's still a concern until I see more improvement. I'd also put QB & OL in the minor concern area.
