RE: NFL Draft Thread
They went 10-3 in what amounts to a mid major conference. At least you are consistent in evaluating teams by win totals rather than quality of wins.

RE: NFL Draft Thread
The PAC 10 is a mid major conference? What in the hell?

USC went 10-3 and finished 3rd in the final rankings. They lost the first game of the season to Bama (1) and the 3rd to Stanford (7) and 4th to Utah (24). They then beat multiple ranked teams Colorado (21), Washington (4), and Penn State (5), where they scored 52 points and Darnold wen 33-53 for 452 yards and 5 touchdowns.

This is getting ugly. Just admit you were mistaken.

I agree, he's crazy talented. Just doesn't make sense (IMO) to draft a RB that has a short shelf life in todays NFL. They just aren't that valuable and once they get to 26/27, they go downhill (for the most part). Its a passing league. The positive is that he can help in the passing game. When there are great backs available much later, I don't see how it makes sense. Guice is like a hair behind Barkley and still available.

Like Elliot, he will help the team. Just not a good allocation of resources.

This is the most talented back since Adrian Peterson. This was a no brainer and a great choice by the Giants. I am an Eagles fan, and I even know how valuable this guy will be for Eli's remaining years. I thought it was a great selection by the Giants and it will show on the field. Redskins fans 03-lmfao

I'll trust the NYG leadership over the Skins leadership any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

He's definitely regressed, but I'd still take him over alex smith.

There's no reason to argue about this. The guy has won 2 super bowls in the last 10 years. That's the end of the story.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of Smith. He will do ok, but isn't a great QB. Eli is just terrible at this point and has been for 3-4 years.

Snyder is terrible too. Strawman arguments are fun though.

I can't help it. Not many Giants fans around here and I've been defending Eli for years now.

Strawman LOL. Guy went 11-5 last year and had a bad year this year because his entire offense was hurt. There you go again...you bring me so much laughter. I despise the Giants, and yet I cannot sit back and let someone bash a two time super bowl champion. Simply amazing stuff by the human calculator.

2011-9 wins, 7th ranked offense, 19th ranked defense
2012-9 wins, 7,16
2013-7 wins, 31,6
2014-6 wins, 15, 24
2015-6 wins, 19, 30
2016-11 wins, 22, 2
2017-3 wins, 23, 24

The Giants haven't had an above average offense in 5 years. A major reason is their QB is awful. They had 1 good year in the last 7 years with the 22nd best offense and 2nd best defense in the NFL and you use that to support the QB. Ha

LOL THIS IS HILARIOUS. It's not the line. It has to be the QB. Why don't you try tuning into some games? You might actually learn something.

The Giants haven't been able to run the ball since Jacobs and Barber. Whether you believe it or not, that kills a QB. Keep looking at those numbers.

So pumped the giants got Barkley. Kid is going to be a total game changer for Eli.

Barkley, Beckham, Sheppard and Evan Engram?

Just draft a couple lineman and we are going back to the playoffs!

Exactly this, but Bradshaw was good too.
